I am not sure it makes a whole lot of sense to have a big city where New Orleans is. It certainly makes no sense for the government to spend a lot of money encouraging the growth of a city where New Orleans is.

Yet another Democrat publicly displaying just what a drooling, blithering idiot she truly is.
Unbelievable..........

Thank you, Fox News for giving this loon a mike.

Mary Landrieu's father, "Moon" Landrieu, was a corrupt and womanizing mayor of New Orleans. "Moon" Landrieu had far more to do with the city's levees and current disaster preparedness than Bush or the Republican Congress.

Mary, Mary, Mary. Did you happen to see the total Vitter won by in the state? Comments like this aren't doing you favors.
States have a responsibility. If they did not, why bother electing officials within and to represent states?

It does not matter who the democrat is they are as senile as toad frog.

This feeble-minded aging socialist is Louisiana's answer to Carol Mosley Braun.
Come to think of it, Louisiana and New York are very similar.

"You couldn't make this stuff up. Landrieu just spoke on Fox News, saying that the damage to LA will be worse than it had to be because "the government" (Evil Republicans) didn't spend enough money on building levees and other protective structures for New Orleans."
Would someone explain to me just what would be enough levees and whatnot to protect a city where the "high ground" is 25 feet above sea level from a Category 4 hurricane?
"She then stated that using the strategic oil reserves to alleviate shortages from damaged oil rigs wouldn't be of much help because "the government" (Evil Republicans) hasn't spent enough federal money (your money) in building a greater industrial base for LA, which "the government" (Evil Republicans) has neglected."
Last I checked, industry was built by private enterprise--and Louisiana isn't the friendliest state in the union for entrepeneurs.

My question has always been, WHAT DUMB-ASS DECIDED TO BUILD A MAJOR METRO AREA 12 FT. UNDER SEALEVEL?
To: pabianice
I watched that moronic miscreant, mumble in monotone also.
As in the WOT, these imbiciles have no shame when it comes to denegratiing anything the Republica Party does.
Even when the talking head on Fox News gave her a hint, by stating the president had declared a disaster for that area early, (to enable the FEMA wheels to start spinning) she remained the sniping bitch bimbo she is.

On Sunday Sen. Landrieu (remember that she didn't win the seat legally the first time around) sounded strangely reasonable when the prospect of Katrina slamming New Orleans was very likely. She even thanked President Bush for declaring disaster areas of Louisiana and (she didn't care about this part) coastal Alabama and Mississippi.
Less than 12 hours later she blames the President? Make sure her constituents know what a phony she is and should be sent packing at the next election.

In case it hasn't been said yet: There is no disaster or human tragedy that cannot be bent to the greater use of the socialist collective demoRats. Shame on them. This is another reason why they deserve to lose more elections and run off more of their constituency to Canada.
I want to stand in line and vote again, already!
