Only an idiot would have stayed.

Not to hear some of the whiners here tell it -- who most likely would have been part of the whiners yesterday berating the mayor for not ordering the evacuation sooner.

I've collected some screenshots at the album link below. I have a shot from the "Parade Cam" on St. Charles 1 minute before the camera was lost. It's the last in the album right now. I will be adding more pics to this album.

Well, I think the evacuation should have been ordered sooner, and I think they should have had some sort of plans for getting people without cars (the poor, the elderly, tourists, students) out of the city.

I hope that everything turns out all right for the folks at the Dome, but I still think that is not a good situation.

You can bet that they will reevaluate their emergency plans after this is over.

And we still don't know about the storm surge.
