Ask a liberal whom we were really fighting in Korea (not the North Koreans). Then ask them whom we were really fighting in Vietnam (not the North Vietnamese). Once they agree that it was China (which most will fail to say yes to if they see the checkmate coming)...then ask them what Nixon did with China in 1972 to end the Vietnam War. This will cause the smarter liberals to either short circuit (and tell you that you are nuts) or they will become conservatives at that moment.

One accidentally came into my favorite watering hole and started spouting anti-US crap while watching the news. Every customer, every waitress, every dancer and the bartender did the same thing at the same time.
