Well, I hope so too. I would think the engineers would have been consulted before they used it. At least I would certainly hope so.

If they used the right models. I understand the levies are only designed to protect the city in case of a cat 3 hurricane. It eveidnetly cost too much to buoild for the worst case which, IAC, often cannot be anticipatred. The towers in NYC were designed to withstand a hit from a 707, I think, not planes as big as the ones that flew into it.
