Re: WWL
Normal Sunday night maintenance period, or storm trouble?
I'm watching WWL now. They are broadcasting from Baton Rouge.

Oh, that stuff............LOL.
I guess I have my answer. Seems that wwl radio is off the air
ahem--you talkin' about me, mister? ;o)
Your equation for wind power is P = K*m*v2/t
Your scaling of 1/vol * area allows you to write v3.
Odd jump on the satellite animation. She seemed to leap northward in the last frame. I am trying to see if it skipped one.
"all..its time to stop the normal back and forth chatter now and only post "hard news" i think? agree?"
The easy news sells more ads. Ask CNNMSNBCBSABCFOX
You're drowning in desperation. Their basketball coliseum likely holds at least 10,000 just in the seats, plus more on the floor. Plenty more fit in the athletic dept gyms. More in the student rec facilities, which if it is like most universities has several indoor raquetball courts, gyms, a track, and weight room. That's easily 20-25,000 before starting in with university's numerous classrooms. And of course you forgot my suggestion of using local schools and govt bldgs, of which only a fraction are used for local evacuees. Nor did you remember that LSU could be used as a staging area to transport overflow to other areas of the state(using buses and trains in the 2nd 24 hours.)
Great, *if* this was already in an existing evac plan.
A little hard to pull off.....overnight, I'm sure.
ROFLOL! That was a good one!
And he stayed on the bike and it stayed upright? Did he ride into a wind tunnel?
only in the best possible way. :)>>
LOL

Are these Fox News cams on fix going to stay up even when the atmosphere gets too thick for normal satellite? I was wondering when someone would get the technology perfected to be able to bear witness to the storm. You can get 5mp shots from the surface of Mars but when you want storm coverage it's zip until it's over.
/Praying for NO to pull through
Guess that's the point; they were supposed to HAVE a plan. We are just coming up with solutions to where to put people.
