Speaking of chill pill..... I don't think Janice Dean is going to make it. She's going to have an emotional breakdown before it's over....

I agree with you.
Let them drink, let them smoke and show them where they can dispose of their cigarettes.
Don't shake them down for id's to prove the meds they are are theirs.

Can she get to the Superdome? No, no. Much safer in Houma, in a manner of speaking. Houma is on the west side of the river and fortunately so in this case. Houma -- at least the town itself -- is fairly safe from the flooding New Orleans will get. The wind is the problem in Houma. Down lower on the bayou in Terrebonne and Lafourche Parish is vulnerable to flooding, however.

I was wondering about that, too. Aerodynamic drag is supposed to be a cubic function of velocity...

We are about to lose a city of 1.5 million, but I guess I could just sing along... in 1814 we took a little trip, along with....Why don't you go grab a bucket and bail?
To: LadyBuzz
Mayor just tells Geraldo - "it would be a shame if we lost the city"
If a conservative said such a thing we'd be hearing about it for the next 20 years..... Oh, all he could say is "it would be a shame".........

Sadly, after last year's tsunami and the level of casulties from that situation, I'm surprised that the media are being so pro-public service. (at least from the left leaning folks) Could it be because this news story is so local that it also affects almost everyone in some manner in the states?
