Extremely dangerous Hurricane Katrina is bearing down on the North Central Gulf of Mexico and New Orleans metro area. Thousands of people did not evacuate New Orleans. Outer bands of Katrina are reaching the Louisiana coast.
Due to the size and intensity of this storm, all interests in the North Gulf of Mexico should be in their safe locations.

Don't say that on Bourbon Street. They will drop to their knees. 8^)
No kidding! I am surprised Chrissy isn't on the ground somewhere.
Then for SURE I wouldn't have gone to the SuperDOme. A hurricane without my smokes??? No way!
Be sure and tell them we at FR are praying for all of them.
Things are gonna get real ugly in the bathrooms if people eat MRE's for three days....
WDSU had pictures about 45 mins ago of the 18 wheelers unloading food and water at the dome, said the NG was organizing it.
Incredible satellite image.

Shepard Smith got it good today too. He was out in the French Quarter and asked a man walking two dogs what he was doing out there. The man said, "None of your f**king business!!!". It was a great tv moment!
Actually that is in Ascension Parish. She should be OK if she is in a sound structure, away from low lying areas.
lol!
"",..pumped alot of tang down in New Orleans"
Funny... I always thought it was tane. (Octane?)
They'll come back. New Orleans, that is."
-----
It is either 'tane or 'pane, as in window panes. It SURE isn't 'tang. 'Tang doesn't even come close to sounding right. Google comes up with very few hits as 'tang. That ain't it!
sw
The dome will be full of sick and disabled people, some on oxygen, and will probably lose air conditioning when the power goes out. They can't have people smoking in there, no matter what. It's a good move.
Cue funky Seinfeld bass riff.
I hate to imagine how much peoples' nerves are gonna' grate on each other!
I sort of like him too. (don't tell anyone)
No but I found someone who showed the snake the door. :)
here we go...the mayor

I think those all had to do with the fire issue
Gas lines bursting, sparks from electric wires, etc.
That's the short version, LOL.
Looks like the western part of the eyewall is starting to build back up...
