Able Danger emerges

Posted on 08/28/2005 1:20:55 PM PDT by qrayjack

The 9/11 commission was never looking for the truth. Republicans on the committee let themselves be conned and steamrolled by the Clinton advocates who turned it all into a dog & pony show. The purpose was to conceal Clinton's deliberate disregard for the terrorist threat and to blame 9/11 on Bush. It's going to be interesting to see if the Republicans have the guts to pursue the irrefutable fact that the Able Danger information, which if acted upon could have prevented the 9/11 terrorist attacks, was studiously ignored by the Clinton administration, including and especially Jamie Gorelick who should never have been on the 9/11 commission to begin with. Oh and by the way. You Bush bashers who selectively hate only those wars during Republican administrations, here's another little deliberate 9/11 commission omission. There is a pre-9/11 report (March 16, 2001) showing that Osama bin Laden was working with Iraqi intelligence operatives in Germany at the time when Mohamed Atta and two other 9/11 hijack team leaders were living in Hamburg. So let's not hear any more crap about there being no Iraq-9/11 connection, OK?

They don't.

I doubt very seriously the "R"s will do anything without a loud prompting from the electorate. And even that is suspect, the "R"s have shown a complete unwillingness to hold the Clintons accountable for anything, much less 9-11..

Anytime Benvenista(sp?) shows up at a hearing you know the fix is in ... they go after Condi Rice giving her no quarter and Gorelick is on the panel helping grill her. Ashcroft called the 9-11 commission essentially a joke and was roundly condemned ... however, he was right. Bottom line ... Able Danger has received some press but the liberal MSM isn't interested, so ... don't expect this to go anywhere. It's not in the interest of the 9-11 Commission, nor, for that matter in the interest of some RINO's. Able Danger is dead in the water ...

What really makes me mad, more than the chicken sh** Republicans on the Commission, is the fact that I bought the book in good faith. I wonder if they will print an addendum?

I agree with you. If R's were interested in getting at the truth Jamie Gorelick would never have been on the Commission. The whole thing for D's was to ensure no blame would be attached to Clintoon.

She sat up there and blasted Condi with that smirk on her face and all I could think of was, "this charade was choreographed in Chappequa...."

Wasn't the 9-11 Commission assembled to investigate the intel failure before the attack? Now we are going to have to investigate the ones who did the investigation. As a U.S. Citizen who sat and watched that crap on T.V. I am outraged!

You are a better person than I am. When I saw the list of the commission's members, I thought what a joke. Like so many of these useless investigative commissions this one stunk. Just once I would like someone, D or R, to love this country more than they love their party. A pox on both their houses. :o)

A link to reportage on that would be appreciated.

Thanks, but Iraqi intelligence isn't mentioned. Am I missing something?
