Just talked to Basil on site in Crawford, Texas. Currently there are about 100 folks there helping to set up. They have not received word about the caravan arrival in Waco yet. JimRob is riding with the caravan. She thinks it might get to Crawford around 1:00 p.m.
Basil says the stage is set up, the sound system is excellent and they have hung the most beautiful banners overnighted by W04Man on the stage. A big thanks for the banners, they are much appreciated!
Someone arrived early and hung yellow ribbons everywhere.
They have an American flag that is about 50 feet by 40 feet. Children of military personnel serving in the Middle East have written notes to their parents on the stripes of this flag. A very touching thing to behold.
The HOT Chapter booth is being unloaded right now. The will sell buttons made by Angelwood to help off set costs.
Someone rented the Community Center for our use so there is access to AC. However, they also have 10 tents set up. And there is a Moonwalk for the kiddos.
To top everything else there is BBQ on the grill! Basil is the official taster and says it is great!
That is all the news I have at the moment. It is hard to get a cell phone connection to Crawford but when I hear more I will try to update everyone.
Amazing grace, how great the raid
That stopped the tyranny
They stopped the cost that others paid
In Saddam's killing spree
Twas hate that caused some hearts to sing
Of things that were not true
Despite their sad, sad suffering
They help the rebels too
Through many dangers, traps and bombs
Those troops have now endured
Their quest is for sweet freedom's ring
Not some tyrant's world.
The Lord had promised good to us
But freedom isn't free
It's evil that must be fought
Not those, who stop tyranny.
Amazing Waste, how sad the sound
Of those who aid evil's cause
They're lost, and have not found
How freedom may be lost
Johnny I wonder about Cindy Mom what happen to her after I hear she had the stroke no report out of SO Cal news what happen to Cindy Mom
Did she left the mom in hospital stroke and all
I think that photo is from just one of the tents that were there.
We've heard non-stop from Cindy all month, and yet Fox still gives her top billing on the report about the counter-protest "to be fair."
Sound system could have been better, tent was great. Water was provided and very much appreciated. The ice in the tubs came in handy too for icing down one's head.
I sat right behind The Man, Jim Robinson, himself, and shook his hand. I saw FReepers VictoriaUSA, ZacsMom, JREwing, Eaker, Humblegunner, and I think Flyer. Missed Humidistan although I understand she was there. Hope I didn't leave anybody out, when your brain is fried, or at least par broiled, it doesn't always work real well. :)
Crowd very enthusiastic, and larger than I dared to hope. Not the the MSM, even Fox, panned back to show how big it was. I'm sure y'all have seen the mounted flag bearers. What you may not have seen was the writing on the side of one of the horses. "You don't speak for me".
I'll possibly have some pictures as soon as my coworker, and a Lurker type Freeper, sends them to me.
I'd help in a minute, but I see you already have lots of help.

Hey Leap...GOOD ONE!!!!
Pro-Bush protestor Pam Vasquez, of Hewitt, Texas, sits in the shade of her car as she fans herself with a piece of cardboard in an attempt to cool off in Crawford, Texas., Satursday, Aug. 27, 2005. Cindy wishes she was getting death threats, she isn't worth killing.
LOL!! Don't you love how the MSM is trying to lie to present themselves as being in a better position then they are, and they all can't even get on the same page! They are usually better at talking points. But, nope! 1000-1500-2000-3000. They can't make up their minds what it was. meanwhile we're staying consistent with out on the gourn reports which put it around 3000, and I trust them a hell of a lot more than I trust the upstaged MSM that just realized Cindy DOESn"T represent a majority.
We left early, about 2:45 and I would put the crowd at that time around 1900-2100.
Eyewitness.
I didn't get the name of this man, but his speech was heartfelt and heartbreaking.
They're hoping no one notices.

Good for her.
I just heard Cindy's speech on Air American
Besides the typical George Bush is a murder .. Cindy thinks it's her mission to save all children from the future wars started by Bush
She is a real piece of work
Sheehan said that before she came down here, someone told her, "You should go down in a pasture near Bush's ranch and thousands of people would come and you ought to call it Turdstock, so let's call it Turdstock."
I googled Texas + Law + Stalking and got this...
§ 42.072. Stalking. Amended 2002.

as threatening:
(A) bodily injury or death for the other person;
(B) bodily injury or death for a member of the other person's family
or household; or
(C) that an offense will be committed against the other person's
property;
(2) causes the other person or a member of the other person's family or
household to be placed in fear of bodily injury or death or fear that
an offense will be committed against the other person's property; and
(3) would cause a reasonable person to fear:
(A) bodily injury or death for himself or herself;
(B) bodily injury or death for a member of the person's family or
household; or
(C) that an offense will be committed against the person's property.
