Just talked to Basil on site in Crawford, Texas. Currently there are about 100 folks there helping to set up. They have not received word about the caravan arrival in Waco yet. JimRob is riding with the caravan. She thinks it might get to Crawford around 1:00 p.m.
Basil says the stage is set up, the sound system is excellent and they have hung the most beautiful banners overnighted by W04Man on the stage. A big thanks for the banners, they are much appreciated!
Someone arrived early and hung yellow ribbons everywhere.
They have an American flag that is about 50 feet by 40 feet. Children of military personnel serving in the Middle East have written notes to their parents on the stripes of this flag. A very touching thing to behold.
The HOT Chapter booth is being unloaded right now. The will sell buttons made by Angelwood to help off set costs.
Someone rented the Community Center for our use so there is access to AC. However, they also have 10 tents set up. And there is a Moonwalk for the kiddos.
To top everything else there is BBQ on the grill! Basil is the official taster and says it is great!
That is all the news I have at the moment. It is hard to get a cell phone connection to Crawford but when I hear more I will try to update everyone.
"Fox just reported Cindy is getting death threats..don't like were that is going"
Let's remember whom we are dealing with here folks, 10 to 1 the threats are coming from the "unwashed" ones. Hoping the True Americans take the blame.
I know! If I hear one more quote from that woman, I'm going to hurl! Why in the world would they replay her insane messages over and over again. IMO, by doing so they are supporting her! Terrorists everywhere must be rejoicing! AGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!
The people of Crawford have gotten death threats and bomb scares for speaking out against her.
So far I have seen better coverage on CNN and MSNBC than on Fox. Fox has been slanted towards the left on this.
I'm so glad for Mort; he is such a good man, even for a liberal -- at least he is an honest liberal. I'm glad he is finding happiness again.
Well, if she keeps sayin' "he (Bush) wants troops to die in Iraq because troops have died in Iraq" the rest of the country has to scratch their head and say "wacko".
You know what I mention that on Daily Dose and Canteen I don't know if Texas has stalking law I know California does where I live

One clip of our guys..a lot of video of Cindy ranting. His back drop was a hay field with a barn.
That's what I'm thinking, too.
(And newb shmoob--you make more since than some posters who have been here since 1998. Excluding all in present company of course :)
'..Cindy getting death threats..'
yep, see it coming......another media frenzy....poor Cindy...poor, poor Cindy and the bad, bad right wingers...
just like the media will now bring up implications about Condi Rice every time Able Danger is mentioned.
A woman identified as the wife, right, of Iraqi Freedom casualty Army CWO Stephen M. Wells, of Egremont, Mass., carries the memorial cross that she picked up along the road with her husband's name on it, near the original Camp Casey, in Crawford, Texas, Saturday, Aug. 27, 2005. Dozens of family members are upset that their family member's name is listed on the memorial crosses that were placed by anti-war protestors. At left is Julie Curtis-Win, Texas Military Family Foundation, an organization dedicated to making the lives of military members and their families easier.
Saw it this time. Was waiting for a full report.
I agree. I'm upset with Fox. They should do better.
HAR HAR! Yeppers, that's me. I'm semi-famous with a computer somewhere in the bowels of NY's Fox studio. ROFL!
FOX just covered it wiht Greg Kelly; much better this time IMHO. Covered BOTH sides, video of horses walking down the street with messages on their a*ses; think there's a message for Cindy there? LOL!
Even had footage of a pro-Bush supporter with a son (?killed in? don't know) in Iraq and she sounded very togehter and coherent.
Cut to Cindy talking and "crying" and saying, (paraphrasing) "The only reason George Bush wants our soldiers killed over there is because so many have already been killed."
That woman has psycho and breakdown-soon written all over her.
Whoo! Hoo! Thank you.
I did take a few pics of the peace house and some of their derogatory signs, but I'll spare you the hurling"
