Just talked to Basil on site in Crawford, Texas. Currently there are about 100 folks there helping to set up. They have not received word about the caravan arrival in Waco yet. JimRob is riding with the caravan. She thinks it might get to Crawford around 1:00 p.m.
Basil says the stage is set up, the sound system is excellent and they have hung the most beautiful banners overnighted by W04Man on the stage. A big thanks for the banners, they are much appreciated!
Someone arrived early and hung yellow ribbons everywhere.
They have an American flag that is about 50 feet by 40 feet. Children of military personnel serving in the Middle East have written notes to their parents on the stripes of this flag. A very touching thing to behold.
The HOT Chapter booth is being unloaded right now. The will sell buttons made by Angelwood to help off set costs.
Someone rented the Community Center for our use so there is access to AC. However, they also have 10 tents set up. And there is a Moonwalk for the kiddos.
To top everything else there is BBQ on the grill! Basil is the official taster and says it is great!
That is all the news I have at the moment. It is hard to get a cell phone connection to Crawford but when I hear more I will try to update everyone.
Wonderful visual. Thanks. I'd give ANYTHING if I could be there.
Yeah, I thought it was very fair. And hopefully not the last of it.
Fox 8;00 EST, but he has scheduled that missing kid from Ohio, but maybe he'll bump it.
Ping to post 56! See tagline!
I was listening to WOAI San Antonio and at the four o'clock break they ran Fox Radio News and all it was, was a sound bite from Cindy Sheehan!! Nothing else
I trioed likew hell to get through to them but nothing but a massive menu to click through and no complaints line.
Man am I mad.
Indeed it is. And the look on the girl's face is just as powerful, IMO. Showing much more maturity than anyone on Sheehan's side of the road.
Yeah it is a bummer. I've had the t.v on all day and had not seen anything. So finally I came here and when they finally do show something on tv I miss it!! Oh well I got more info. from the freepers anyway, as usual.
Tee Hee! I noticed how he found time to talk about the reporters....truely, I don't care. I'm disappointed in his coverage, and I found it rather biased. Already sent FNC an email about it. They are going to ban me pretty soon for all the emails I have sent them today.
I'm emailing a link to this thread to my son in the Navy (also FL) so he and his buddies can see what's really going on.
I've read the whole thread and understand the context of the converstaion. Have you?
Heck I'll even watch Geraldo's show tonight if he has a decent report from Crawford. For me that is HUGH!
Indeed they are about as bad as the rest of the media!
I read that most of their reporters vote Democrat.
All they did on the radio 4 o'clock news was to give us a sound bite of Cindy Sheehan, I hope their ears are burning.
Only the truly ignorant could think that by now.(IOW DUmmies)
Thank you JimRob and the rest of the FReepers who honor us by taking time time out to protest on our behalf.
I'm sure the MSM is shellshocked. They believe their own polls and staged rallies. They still cannot wrap their minds around the thought so many voted for Bush last fall.
What did they think? We all evaporated? That we were a bad dream? that we would allow them to attack our troops, their mission and their C-I-C just because they are bent out of shape G.W.B. was re-elected?
It's exactly what they think.
I welcome them to keep believing their own polls that are as accurate as their "news" stories. They can just wake up with a bad migraine again in '06.
And it's more fun here, too. God bless all the Freepers in Crawford.
You are a greater optimist than I am!
How can I be 200 posts behind again?
