"Well Air America may be a dismal failure but I hear Al Gore's new TV stations gonna change the world...It will. By teaching kids to turn off the TV and find something else to do!

...and think of the "ADULT" education applications. :P

I am just sure the Al Franken Show on the Sundance channel is leading the charge.

I have seen three minutes of the show, thirty seconds at time.

For a while I wondered how it was that Airhead America was getting away with stealing nearly a million from the needy without so much as a peep from the "mainstream" (sic) media. And then it hit me on what had to happen first...

I'm so glad I wasn't drinking anything while reading your post...I'd have to go out and get a new keyboard.

...And you're absolutely correct in your assessment of Err America. No one with a grain of sanity would listen to their claptrap for even ten seconds. Like nails raking a chalk board.

I'm curious as to just when there will be a serious look into the very shady financials of this communist inspired organization.

I liked Al Franken 25 years ago when he was funny. Hilarious sketches on SNL from Franken and Davis.

Now that's a great insight.

Liberals like pictures. Radio doesn't have pictures.

There is obviously something wrong here. The NYT says that the progressive radio program is doing great.

"Giving Right-winged radio a run for it's money"

Looks to be in "junk status". Fitting, actually.

Any idea about Sacramento, "Talk City 1240"? They run some AAR but also run Christine Craft locally and Bev Smith from the Urban Radio Network or some such. Christine's thing is to get her apparently dozens of listeners involved in local protests.

If you want to be scared though, listen to Bev Smith. You'll be scared at how much that almost entirely black audience has drank the Dem Kool-aid, and how serious they are about reparations, police brutality, America's fault so many of their men are in prison, etc.

funds for this trash that no one seemingly listens to?

Conservatives own the radio air waves and I think that whoever thought they could step into our turf and even make a dent was thinking like an idiot, a typical liberal.

Sometimes when a subject comes up in the news which I know will irritate the Rats, I'll switch over to hear what they have to say.

The thing is...the b****ing and whining is soooo annoying. I can stand no more than 3-5 minutes before switching back to something that is somewhat entertaining or at least uplifting. I can't see how even the libs will subject themselves to this type of torture.

It's just like the person in your office who always whines when there's an audience. What do most people do...they tune them out and walk the other way. This is why Err America's ratings will always be in the tank - People can't stand to listen to perpetual whiners.

Here's a suggestion: Club Gitmo should drop the Christina Aguillera tunes in favor of Air America 24/7. Nothing will break a person's spirits like listening to a struggling Stuart Smalley trying in vain to be funny or a grating Randi Rhodes. Maybe this is the gig that can save AA. They can move to mother Cuba and sign a defense contract with Rummy. It's a win-win. We get more info from the detainees, AA improves their ratings (to perhaps several hundred prisoners) all while living in their idealic communist country.

that's because dead people can't listen to the radio like they can vote in Illinois and Washington state.

one of their most obvious problems is a problem that the left increasinlg has in politics and why you so many Latinos and Blacks dancing with the GOP....

The left of today, unlike the left of pre-1968(the period 1965-68 was a watershed in leftist politics), is overwhelmingly White, Elitist, White Collar, Hyper-Educated and totally uninterested in the lives of the poor and people of color in the USA. The new lefts main concerns are abortion, gay marriage and trashing the patriot act, not good jobs, economic mobility, labor unions, etc.

On the whole, true, though I prefer the term "misinformed" to "hypereducated".

Or as some redneck humor has it, "educated beyond their intelligence."

Full Disclosure: I talked to one such about why men have short hair, and women long hair and makeup. She derisively replied "Gender Norming!" as though she had just solved Fermat's last theorem. She didn't have the intellect to notice that inventing a polysyllabic name for something is not the same thing as explaining it. :-(
