Air America Ratings Still in the Toilet

I have listened from time to time out of morbid curiosity.

Anti-fans account for more than half their ratings, like drivers slowing down to check out a bad car wreck. Republican politicians might consider AAR's cheap advertising rates to reach their voters 5 minutes at a time.

The headline comes as no surprise but it did prompt me to look up today's Salon Deathwatch stock quote:

16 cents a share. No sense in the libs funneling money into this Democrat advertising site outside of an election...

Air American thinks that hey can "buy" their way into peoples homes by purchasing time on local stations. Rush built his radio empire on market demand. He did not buy his market. These kooks still don't understand that mainstream America does NOT what to hear their "blame America" BS. They will ultimately fail but they will blame it on a vast rightwing conspiracy.

What I find most insulting about Air America is the fact that they have the gall to use the sacred name "AMERICA" as part of their name. I heard a rumor that they had once considered changing the name to "Air AmeriKa". You can't get more insulting than that.

But if you listen to the reports coming from Air America they seem to boast about their audience being up by 50%. Of course they don't mention that instead of 24 people listening that day it was 36.

Well, considering that "Air America" was founded, run, staffed and listened to by a gaggle of turds and sh*theads, it only makes perfect sence that it's ratings are smack-dab in the crapper.

No Air America in my broadcast area. But the local lib recently went off the air due to poor ratings - and in a swing district no less! I used to call in with the internet in front of me and prove him wrong all the time until it was clear he was in the tank (same three or four callers every day) and there was a conservative in the same time slot.

My best call-in was when he had a couple Muslims from the Muslim-American Association on to talk about a community center they were opening. They even had a Christian minister with them. I got 20 minutes quoting the Koran and hadith to them about killing Christians and Jews and listen to them pretend to have never heard of it or try to explain it away. They were supposed to go on another bigger local show immediately after and I was going to call there too, but for some reason they never showed :-)

They just wish they were in the toilet, actually, they've been flushed and are down in the sewer, headed for the treatment plant. How would you like to try and sell ad time on this station? They must do a lot of PSAs.

I have an 'acquaintance' who tells me she listens to nothing but NPR and Air Americal. She calls all GOP jingoistic and claims that she, and the rest of the 'RATs (not her term) are proud of being 'quietly patriotic!' I'm sure she got that from AA . . . the phrase is a contradiction of terms. If one is patriotic, he must shout it from the rooftops! They are America Haters, top to bottom.

I stumbled onto Air Amerika and was trying to figure out who this boob was that had great difficulties trying to start a sentence. It went something like.

Do you...
I feel that things.....
Once this happened.....
How do you feel that Bush could.......

Not one sentence in over five minutes could be started without 3 or more vague and direction less phrases. This first became irritating and then eventually comical. When I heard the station break he announced - "This is Al Franken on Air Amerika" and I realized that not only is he a political boob he is also a nincompoop when it come to speaking. This is why Air Amerika will not survive.
