Bush doesn't give a damn about polls, and neither should you.
The other interesting thing about that graph is that it shows Gallup as being historically a little higher than the rest. Makes one wonder if the *real* number is sub-40...
This is all about trying to make Bush look weak just before the Roberts fight. The RATS are going to unleash the biggest smear camapign ever against Roberts and we might be faced with the nuclear option. Sure glad that pinhead, Vacant Lott is not majority leader.
The real poll is the voting booth, I have no faith in polling companies as they are all bought and paid for by the MSM. Believe what you want, it's total BS just like the CA poll about Arnie, 100% BS.
Breaking it down to a sample of 37R37D26I would only raise his approval to 43.47%
Have we been attacked since 9-11? No!Dubya does not have to run again.Cut him some slack please!
Maybe Dales will help interpret this.
It does seem odd that after the last election that they've established 29% as the number who vote republican.
I agree. He should have visited that Ohio town that lost the 21 reservists - instead there was a perception he was on vacation during a war and preaching about 'freedom,' which is his material from 2004. Very poorly handled. On top of that, the admin is terrible at getting the message out - we know the media isn't going to give him a fair shake, he needs to parry that consistently. He doesn't.
I don't think Sheehan has much to do with this, though. There is a strong perception out there that while guys are dying in Iraq and gas prices are high, the admin isn't doing much. Whether that's true or not isn't important: there is a perception that's true and the admin seems disinterested in addressing that.
Freepers who make light of the clear fact that Dubya has severely slopped just aren't paying attention.
That being said, I expect things to turn around in the Fall when Congress is back in session and Dubya is back in DC. But he and his posse have to act the part. This working vacation in Crawford has been a disaster.
Your post should be reread by everyone. Thanks for saying it.
Why would any Republican want the job? Relentless pounding. C'mon W..we're with ya'.
I agree with you that the administration needs to get into gear selling itself.
I have been very disappointed in them for being so passive in the PR arena for the last 5 years. Unfortunately, we have been given no indications that they see the need to be aggressive in showing their successes.
Crap, when Slick Willie was in office they were trumpeting any and all positive economic data that was available every week. What's a matter with republicans? Why can't they do it? It isn't rocket science, just marketing.
Bravo!! Great response, and so very true!!
Right you are with that headline from the New York Slimes............
Does anyone actually know that a Gallup Poll on Harry Truman had him at only 20% approval at one time??? It's true!!
What goes down, will eventually go up again!!
But, who cares?? The "poll" taken last November was the ONLY one that counted!!
Your right about this. Polls are nothing more than a liberal mind game. These polls are as bogus as the exit polls in 2004.
Thank God we don't have a president that checks the polls or his tarot cards each day before he makes a decision.
They try to shape public opinion with these polls. It didn't work in 2004 and it won't work now. The polls should be given as much weight as your tarot card reading "For Entertainment Only"
Was wondering the same thing -- why not post the numbers of who was pulled? Twenty-nine percent Republicans polled -- give me a break!
Great reply in #22! Right on the mark!
