Keanu Reeves was reported last night to be embroiled in a romance with Diane Keaton, the actress who is nearly 20 years his senior.
Reeves, 40, was said to have dumped actress girlfriend Lynn Collins, 28, to date the 59-yearold Oscar winner.
Reeves met Miss Keaton when they appeared together in the 2003 comedy Something's Gotta Give. He began dating Miss Collins three months ago after they met on the set of the forthcoming drama Il Mare.
A friend told the U.S. magazine Star that Reeves was 'hit hard' by turning 40 last year.
Breaking up with Miss Collins 'kind of said goodbye to a way of living he's outgrown'.
Why would any woman, let alone beautiful women, like Nicole Kidman, Katie Holmes and/or Diane Keaton, agree to be beards for gay men?? Illogical.
The standard is, come visit me in Atlanta. ;^)
Maybe the Aniston/Vince Vaughn makeout public sessions will take some of the heat off, but I doubt it.
People should only be able to date someone born in the same year, day and hour as themselves. Anything else should be illegal.
I agree, not logical---yet it apparently happens a lot. The explanation I hear is that they are "safe," and that they make no demands on the women, who are at a "lull" in their relationship with men. They make good dance partners, and have good fashion sense, too :)

Finally, who cares how old they are? They are both grown-ups, and since neither one of them are Anna Nicole Smith there is no hint of gold digging here.

No kidding. I've always thought Keanu was cute as all get out and he's not a bad actor at all. I think he got tarred as an idiot by the Excellent Adventure movies, but that's a character, not Keanu.
I can't believe he's 40. He's certainly old enough to date whom he pleases. He's not a child anymore.

I don't. Young men should be with women their own age or somewhat younger, with whom they can have a family. The two situations aren't symmetrical, you know-- a man can father a child until he's REALLY old, whereas a woman's fertility is probably gone by age 45 or so, and even in her late thirties, early forties, she's at higher risk of having a child with a birth defect.
In my opinion, even if these young men don't know better (and they clearly don't), the women SHOULD-- they're older and should be wiser by now. I think women like this are either immature themselves or they want a man they can dominate-- neither are attractive qualities.
