Conservative colleges spend more time on education and less on brainwashing.

45 years ago, the Engineering College and School of Mines were the conservative bastions at Arizona. Has that type of division changed??

Someone who is now a very respected theologian went to this little school. He had a great impact on me personally.

My daughter graduated in 2004 from Hillsdale College (#1) and is now starting 2nd year Law School at S.M.U (#8). She got a wonderful education at Hillsdale. It's a relatively small college with excellent professors that is getting harder to get into because it's academic reputation is getting national attention. My daughter took several courses at Georgetown as well and said that Hillsdale's classes were just as demanding and interesting (and that's a compliment to Georgetown).

There are many (mostly small and mostly religiously affilicated) schools that didn't seem to make the list. What about Bob Jones U. or Cornerstone in Grand Rapids? The problem is that the left still controls 90% of academia, so we have a long way to go.

What year did you graduate GCC? I was class of '97. Were you referring to Scott Hahn?

That's the biggest difference between the so called 'anti-war movement' now than what it was during Vietnam; the kids are not interested. During Vietnam, every young man over the age of 18 realized that his number could be up and he could be drafted at any time. This was a HUGH motivation to protest the war. Now that we have a volunteer military, that worry factor is missing. Many students also have a family member who is serving in some capacity, and they know that that person, with the possible exception of Nat Guard or Reservists, went into that position knowing that they could end up in battle. Even the Reservists knew that it was possible, they just considered it an outside chance.

The media is trying its best to resurrect their glory days of Vietnam, but it is just not working. The volunteer military is a big part of that, but alternative news outlets is another one. We no longer have to endure Uncle Walter Crankcase intone the immorality of the war each night on the news. We can listen to different sources to get the FACTS, not just someone's opinion about the situation.

the U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy,

Wonder if this is why they're being subjected to harassment scrutiny?

What about Bob Jones U.

The fact that inter-racial dating was banned there into the 1990's makes me think they are pretty kooky.
