Anybody remember the case of that young couple, who took some drug (PCP?) and were out in the cold and snow, they got paranoid and delusional, claimed that there were people outside trying to get them, so they ran out in the cold and froze to death... maybe drugs had something to do with this..

If there was nothing bizarre about the man I wouldn't believe he was an LA music producer.

"He really felt like he was running for his life," John Riolo, Irwin's brother-in-law, told KNBC-TV. "And, if he felt like he was running for his life, he probably was."
Oh. Right.

Didn't Phil Spectre get murdered in Topanga Canyon ( or Laurel Canyon?) - Los Angeles hideaways often turn into Manson Land.

If I recall, this is the "Walking In Memphis" singer.
To: sonserae
...was last heard from Sunday morning when he phoned a friend at 3:45 a.m. to say he was pursued through a ravine. 911 might have been a better option.

Hm. Sounds like someone who just wants to be "missing". I'll be SHOCKED, utterly SHOCKED to find out there's a financial mess he's trying to get out of...
To: linkinpunk
No. That's the Cohen dude. Not this guy.
To: Sloth
"Phoned a friend at 3:45am"Good point. That is odd.Calling 911 would have been a better idea.Kinda fishy.Maybe he was abducted by aliens?

AFAIK, the idea is he cashes the cheque, they say "We sent you too much, send back $5000", and then the original cheque bounces.
To: steenkeenbadges
No, he's on trial for murder! He's very much alive at this point.
To: steenkeenbadges
Phil Spector is alive and on trial for murdering an acquaintance.
To: steenkeenbadges
Last I heard, Phil Spector was under indictment for murdering Lana Clarkson.

Remember!
When being chased by people with dogs through a ravine ALWAYS CALL YOUR FRIEND!!!
Don't bother with the police. I mean it's not like they have guns or are trained or are on patrol.
I think this producer is trying to work some scam of his own.

Put him in the same padded room as Margot Kidder.
Not kidding. He's probably got manic depressive problems.
