So, is Sen. Hutchison (R-TX) another Beltway elitist politician hooked on cheap labor PAC money? Does she agree with Fred Barnes, that "Look, we have to accept a certain number of illegal immigrants here because they want to come here and determine their own future?" Is cheap labor and political correctness more important to the Senator than national security or enforcing the Law??

FReepers, esp. Texas FReepers, tell her what you think:Senator Hutchison's Website with contact info.

I have written Senator Hutchison twice about illegal immigration and have yet to receive a reply. She will not take a stand on this issue. She, like so many in Washington don't see a problem.

I saw that D----I was disgusted with her performance...

and to think that I was glad she decided to stay in the Senate instead of running for Governor!

So she is all pat on the back for keeping two Army bases open...but, hey, it is okay for the taxpayers of Texas to foot the bill for illegals to go to college...

When just last week Austin Community College had to find a WAIVER to let a 2 tour Iraq Veteran who has a Texas license, has a Texas home with parents...get in-state tuition, because he wasn't in TExas for the last 12 months to establish Texas residence..

WHY---because he was in Iraq for 12 months...and he wouldn't have gotten that waiver, if it weren't for the alternate media...talk radio and US...WE are the ones that put pressure on the College to find that waiver...and it wasn't even to pay for college expenses---just in-state tuition...

THAT they are giving to criminals!

I caught this show as well.

I was noting that she didn't say Americans when she made this statement:

"I can understand how difficult it would be to explain this to parents who want their kids to go to school in Texas"

She's trying to appeal to Americans and Mexicans at the same time, like most of the other slime-ball politicians. For fences/pay tuition.

I've contacted her office so many times that I'm probably on a black list by now.

Does anyone else see the lunacy underpinning the debate over in state vs. out of state tuition for illegals??? How about neither? What are they doing in the universities in the first place?

Just another example of how the left has steered the debate away from the real issue: their presence here in the first place.

Kay Bailey Hutchison is a textbook RINO woman. She's hawkish on armed forces when need be, but on "women's" issues she's utterly squishy.

And by "women's issues," I mean those that people feel about rather than thinking about. She's a great little liberal on babies and education and being nice to everyone.

I also noted the praise from both Hutchinson and Colmes on that point that Chertoff had called for more lawyers and judges to deal with illegal aliens. That's the solution - more lawyers to protect the borders.

But since the types of job the illegals are taking are low wage, we must insure that in the future, they can strive to take higher level positions from those Americans who couldn't, by virtue of thier citizenship status, afford to go to college

Sure looks like it, don't it? Asa Hutchins was doing the same dance on illegals tonight. I guess Karl Rove is not getting the message.

For the life of me I don't understand some of our GOP/ Conservative lawmakers in this state. If they would just listen to average person down here, they would hear the WHOLE state wants something done about illegal immigration and that includes the majority of Hispanics. Hispanics know that they are straining our schools, hospitals, and other services and they are upset because they pay taxes too. They see the dangers with these criminal gangs and the potential of terrorists sneaking across the river. Our GOP lawmakers need to go listen to the real people down here and not be afraid of LULAC, American GI Forum, LaRaza Unida, United Farmworkers, and liberal editorial boards that are going to call them racist for being Republicans and waking up in the morning.

Get with the program Texas GOP!

Nothing is going to happen on illegal immigration until the politicians start losing their jobs over this issue. Please send Jim Gilchrist some dough here in the 48th CD in CA. If we can get someone like Jim elected, they might start taking a little more notice. Powder Blue Report

Kay Baily Hutchison is:
#1 Beholden to agribusiness campaign donations
#2 Out of touch with a rising rage in America about illegal immigration
#3 Same applies to many other Senators and CongressCritters. American sovereignty is all a big joke to them

I saw that interview and couldn't help but notice that Sean seemed very content to let Hutchinson get away with not answering his question. He never skipped a beat moving on to the next part of his managed and scripted interview.

Sean has almost always struck me as being not being completely "willingly" on board to closing and securing the nations southern borders. He has so often struck me as being the occasional reluctant tourist on this issue, as if he is just going through the motions. But I do however appreciate what he is doing to bring the issue to the forefront no matter what I think of him personally on this issue.

She completely dodged the question by responding "I can understand how difficult

This is a perfect example why we, as conservative actvists, should spend far less time RAT-bashing and preaching to the choir, and devote our time to grilling these RINOs and showing the Republicans our outrage about their endorsement of trashing our national sovereignty. We must note that "RINO" is not six or seven Senate Republicans. "RINO" is the core of the GOP politicians. There are just a handful of true conservatives in Washington.

Regardless of what the loyalists say Preseident Bush, Sen. Hutchnson, and 95% of all Republican "leaders" are RINOs.

The sooner the loyalists swallow this bitter pill and admit this, the sooner we, as conservatives, can gain far more power and control in reclaiming our nation from the globalists who put America last on our priority list.

My tagline says it all.

Bush, Rove and most the of GOP are the same people we need to wake up the enemy is not just liberals anymore its our own party. Bushbots are worse than liberals in most cases because they cant and wont recognize when they are being told a lie. Bush is an elitist, could care less about your welfare and security. At least with liberals we know our enemy but with RINOs its hard to tell what they are going to say or do at any moment to stab conservatives in the back.
