I'm for stem cell research, too -- on adult stem cells and umbilical stem cells, which have been shown to be effedtive and don't take lives, on the promise that new stem cells can be made from skin, but not on embryonic or fetal stem cells. But when libs talk about "stem cells" they mean ONLY the embryonic stem cells, because those ar ethe only ones that have political implications, satisfying their eugenicist and tyrannical urges. And breaking down resistance ot the liberal sacrament, abortion.

A competing bill co-sponsored by Sen. Sam Brownback, R-Kansas, also would make reproductive human cloning a federal crime, but it would include a ban on somatic cell nuclear transfer, or therapeutic cloning.
