because castro isn't sitting on massive oil wealth to fund insurgencies throughout south america.

Rush pretty much nailed this one. No Leftists ever got in a snit whenever a whackjob Leftist (I know...redundant) or an Islamofascist Imam (redundant again) issued a death threat against anyone. But one idjit named Pat Robertson goes off and *BAM*...front page spews!

One of the reasons Chavez is so dangerous is oil reserves
they have in Venezuela .

Not only does America and the Bush administration want to kill Chaves, but it was also reported by FreeRepublic that Rush Limbaugh is advocating the assination of Cuba's elected president, Fidel Castro.
How's that? ;-)

Someone please explain this to me: Pat Robertson, who has absolutely no standing in our government, official or otherwise, says we should 'take out' Chavez and reporters ask Secretary Rumsfeld if we are going to do just that. WTFO?????

I heard it today. One of the first times in a long time I was able to tune in.
I was wondering why Fox & Friends thought this was "news" - after hearing him today, I "got" it.

You are right! Rush was brilliant today.....he knows the media and their next moves before they even know them. He predicted they would be listening for "sound bites" concerning Pat Robertson and "flipped the script" and gave commentary that he knew would drive them insane. You could tell he thoroughly enjoyed it, as we fans did as well!!

Yes, he was. He didn't get bowled over like a lot of the folks on here did. But it has given them a wonderful opportunity to do their favorite thing, which is to liken Christians to Islamofascists.

Thanks for posting this.
In context though, how many lives would have been saved had Hitler been killed or Pol Pot or Stalin.

Glad to see Rush not giving the MSM their evening soundbite. As always, Rush is right. I wonder who was the network that called him 3 times. Probably CNN.
To: wagglebee
Pat Roberson is an embarassment - always has been.

Don't you think the reason that the MSM jumped on this is because they will be jumping on ANYTHING because of 'able danger'?
I agree with Rush, why didn't Robertson include Castro?
And I totally agree with Robertson on Chavez; the guy is as loony as the North Korean loon. In fact, I have to wonder if the whole world has gone mad except for us, (Bush) and (Blair).

This network hasn't cared one whit about any of the outrageous assassination threats that George Bush gets from members of the left. Pat Robertson is a mainstream figure in conservative politics. What mainstream figures in liberal politics have called for the assassination of Bush? This is a pansy-assed cop-out by Rushbo.

This network hasn't cared one whit about any of the outrageous assassination threats that George Bush gets from members of the left. And what if Pat Robertson called for the assassination of Bush? Would Rush still not comment? Is any outrageous comment by any conservative leader acceptable and not worthy of condemnation?

Tonight on NBC Nightly News, Brian Williams said this and I quote directly :
" Is He Serious ? "
"Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson is suggesting that America
assassinate " another " world leader."
And then it was all Cindy , all the time except when Williams was talking about the decorated war hero, Chuck Hagel.
No word yet on whether Hagel spent Christmas in Cambodia.
To: wagglebee
yup, I could'nt agree with him more, gotta love when he sticks it to the media

The reason for the Castro comment designed to "tweak" the MSM, is because of JFK's involvement with the CIA and the mafia in a plot to assassinate Castro back in '61......
Rush was hoping Robertson would also mention Casto so as to rile up the MSM and then our side could counter with the JFK incident.......
To: wagglebee
This network has called me no less than three times asking me when I'm going to talk about it so they can record it. An 18 year old with Podcasting ability and no FM connection?
Rush is so danged arrogant.
