I have a festering disgust for many Republicans. I have vivid hate for most Democrats.

Nothing good happens in legislative bodies after 8pm. They need a strict closing time.I agree! There'd be much less damage done if they let the drunks stay up late, and send the senators home early.

Yesterday, on his show, Mike Pintek (KDKA-AM) interviewed Chris Lilik (sp?) of YCOP about the bulletin boards...would you believe that CL (a fellow FReeper, I do believe) stated that they (YCOP) are having a hard time getting bill board company's to take their ad money!!! Political pressure is actually being placed on the outdoor advertising companies NOT to take YCOP ads!!!
Of course, when you think about it, I guess a PA legislative type could use his 'voucher' and buy up local billboards, before YCOP could...right? That would be as valid a use as any.

Jubelirer aide Mike Long says YCOP can expect a lawsuit. Although Jubelirer will not file it, one of his supporters is likely to make the motion. He told Capitol Wire, I think it is absurd that a conservative group would target Republican leaders who have helped maintain the Republican majority in the senate for almost 25 years and maintained Republican leadership. It is a stupid mission if one believes in conservative principals and conservatism because it is the Republican Party that preserves those ideas. And this Republican majority makes sure that the coming period of inflation will not affect their lifestyle!

HURRAH! What the politicians did was slimy, self-excusing and in bad taste. A long with a bunch of other adjectives I'd be tempted to spew forth but which would get me banned for life from FR. I don't care for politicians who put themselves first, regardless of whether they have an "R" beside thir names.

Hopefully this billboard's bad grammar got corrected before it was displayed...
Way to go YCOP. Also, some of you guys have some good onelines you'd might like to forward to YCOP. Maybe they can use them. For example:
thegreatbeast: A pol is a pol is a pig. Their Prime Directive: Don't Queer The Deal. These Pennsylvania Republicans don't think they should be called on anything because they have the (R) after their names.
Syberyenta: Their tactic is to paint us as crazy extremists, he said.
No, their tactic is to expose you as crooks.
TBP: These young conservatives need to do as our generation did and stand up to liberalism wherever it rears its ugly head, even when the liberals in question call themselves Republicans.
Rippin: Throw the bums out! R and D.
etc.

On what grounds would they file a lawsuit? Yeah, I love this approach:
Lawmakers offended by the group, made up of Pat Toomey supporterswhose efforts nearly ousted U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter last fallwant legal action to name those funding YCOPs plans and stop the campaign.

I believe that quote was from the young conservative, not the politician.

" I think it is absurd that a conservative group would target Republican leaders who have helped maintain the Republican majority in the senate for almost 25 years and maintained Republican leadership."
Read as:"It doesn't matter how liberal we act...We're Republicans, dammit; we should be able to get away with anything we want to and all conservatives should support us while we're doing it!"
Hopefully, this is the first of many small steps that will eventually bring the contemporary republican power structure crashing down. Our representatives in the house and senate are morphing into the big-money, big-government types we all align ourselves against. As conservatives, we need more new blood like this.

Thanks for the ping. I've been watching this grow every time the stupid politicians do something stupid while trying to blunt YCOP's efforts. It would really be funny if it didn't stink so much of abuse of power.
You know the world is turned upside down when someone is honestly reporting the voting record of a legislator and they can be sued for doing it. Just another reason why these bums should be run out of office.
