The bush team can't get franks to run for senate just imagine how hard it'll be to get him to run for president ;)Maybe he doesn't want to be involved with the socialist frat boys who run the Bush team.

I've heard Allen might be at the Mackinac Conference next month. I know Romney will be there, and McCain might be as well. Not sure who else.
Mackinac is our big GOP event in offyears and is the unofficial kickoff for 2006.

I think Allen was pretty tight with the money as governor. Very much so.

Well, to be fair, he could've been a little more anti-spending in the Senate.

Out of 11 candidates, Tancredo was 8th with 3% as favorite son of CO. In states on the Southern border he was 9th of 11 with 2.4% in CA and TX that have the big electoral votes. He was 5th with 3% & 6% in NM and AZ.
Tancredo's immigration line will not sell. It especially won't sell with conservatives based in facts and logic, rather than emotion.

Mine looked hand addressed until you looked at it closely.
A list for the GOP?

Probably.
I once mailed 35,000 "hand written" letters from the candidate's wife...

How do they do the address to look like that? There's no label on there.

I'm sure they just run them through a printer that way. I didn't keep mine tho...
The mailing I did was over 20 years ago. We had seven women volunteer to address 5,000 envelopes each. Then they each drafted a master "dear friend" letter to match their handwriting. Then we had them printed.
We still didn't win.

This proves my point that immigration has not yet, and will not fly at the ballot box. Tancredo is a one-issue politician. Allen and others have adopted their own immigration platforms. An immigration plan will be essential, not irrelevant, in 2008.
