If you search by blog you'll see that Freepers have currently a tie between Allen and Tancredo - Freepers rule.

I would guess that's because he's matched against two pro-abortion liberals, Frist who just been shooting himself in the foot and other areas, and McRino.

Well hes trailing Guiliani by about 4%, but the instapundit readers are just starting to come over, most of them like Guiliani since that crowd tends to be more libertarian and less socially conservative. Last month when it was a 5 way matchup Allen led guiliani by a few percentage points, but with almost every candidate in there hes trailing by only a few points whicht inst a bad thing consdiering Rudy's name ID.

Newt is spending a lot of time in Iowa for a man that is not running.

My guess is he wants to resurrect his status as powerbroker, player and kingmaker.

Of course only Newt knows for sure.

I backed Newt, somewhat reluctantly. If he didn't have his baggage, I'd back him easily. I like Allen outside of the Spending that's going on in DC.

If we are digging up ex-governors from blue states I'll go with Engler.

If it's 1990-1998 John Engler, I'd back him in a minute.

I think Allen was pretty tight with the money as governor. I'm sure FReepers could tell us. So I went with Allen since all the other choices sucked.

If Newt didn't have the baggage I'd back him in a heartbeat.

Did you know that his wife #2 was from Columbiana county, the most 'swing' county in the state of Ohio? Needless to say they don't like Newt there.

Rice is #1 in casual conversation on the net and in person. So it was interesting to see that in the Fantasy Poll that included everybody Rice was #1 in every region. Rice was above average in Blue states and aveage in Red states. Rice was #1 on every Blog site.

Rice was #1 in every state except MO where she was #2 behind Cheney.

Rice was well above average in 8 of 21 Blogs and below average in 4 Blogs, of which 2 had the lowest number of votes and thus no weight. She did best in the Midwest.

Rice was well above average in OR WI KY KS UT IA ID VT SD ND. Rice was below her average but still #1 in VA AZ MO LA NH DC. So one question is why she is so much lower in the beltway VA-DC than in most of the country? Does the beltway influence the rest of the country or does the rest of the country influence the beltway?

Favorite sons did quite well in their own state, eg Allen in VA. But Tancredo did not do well in CO. If he did well anywhere I missed it. This proves my point that immigration has not yet, and will not fly at the ballot box. Charisma and starpower are king. Why else would Guiliani do well if not for the Hollyweird type of gift of a self-absorbed star?
