Funny, if Cindy Sheehan did this in Iraq about four years ago, Saddam would have pulled her apart limb by limb after having her raped and her eyes gouged out right after she watched her entire family get slaughtered.

I did answer the question. The fact that we don't have well over 100K troops in those places makes it fine with me.

no he hasn't, and that is indeed part of the problem. the message never changes, even as facts on the ground dictate it should be changing.

hell, I hear these reporters talking about "many parts of iraq you would dare not venture into". I have that problem in NYC on my commute home.

I agree with you! I agree with you!

When I was little, my mother told me, "Sweetie, there's good in everybody, look for it." I told her not long ago that she FORGOT TO MENTION LOL that there is evil there too.

Now, I agree. No perhaps. That said, "perhaps' if one takes the 'perhaps' out of what I said and reads it again...

"President Bush charged Tuesday that anti-war protesters such as Cindy Sheehan, who want the troops brought home immediately, are "advocating a policy that would weaken the United States."

He sounds wishy washy. He needs to say why, specifically and forcefully.

You couldn't be more on point. CS and the liberal press that promotes her have lost their ability to conceptualize the long term effects of their actions.

Truly if they win the world PR war for the islamofacists..they will both be eliminated.

Self destruction is a liberal virus.

Thanks for clarifying.

How many troops would you allow to remain in Iraq?

>>I used to fear that far too many people are swayed by the media, but after last year's election, I'm a little more hopeful that many don't believe the press anymore. It's still a struggle, but I think most Americans understand.<<
And the reason why they understand now is because of alternate media like talk radio and the blogosphere. But even with all of Kerry's lies and the daily media bias being exposed, the bastard still got 48 million votes.

They never admit that 1.5-2 million people were slaughtered by the communists.

O'Reilly tried to tell Ann Coulter the other night that we really won in Vietnam. She said she didn't think so, that they had a million people massacred, the enemy took over, and they're still living under communism. She said she didn't see how you could call that a victory by any stretch of the imagination.

In O'reilly's defense, I'm pretty sure he was going to make the point that we had the thing won militarily when the a-rats pulled the funding rug out and caused the military effort to collapse resulting in defeat and massacre.

At any rate, it was our fault, our fault, our maximum fault, just like the Shi'a and the marsh Arabs in Iraq, and we have GOT to stop doing that.

Even now I wouldn't believe a word an American promised me. I wouldn't rat out an insurgent if there was any danger word would get back to them...unh-uh, nada. Not safe. Can't trust Americans.

Ever read any Iraqi blogs? They think we're unstable, trigger happy, scared, dangerous. Nice enough, and generous, but not to be trusted because of the politics at home.

I'm tired of the President NOT fighting back more forcefully. He has the bully pulpit, and can speak right over the media. He's got to start using it more effectively.

I really wish he'd pull a Team America and blow himself up! Unfortunately, he's so fat he'd probably live through that.

Don't forget all of the schools and libraries that "institutionalize" their version of modern history.

And FYI, USA Ptooey doesn't even permit excerpting of their articles on FR. What are they afraid of? Feedback and examination of their "news"?

Good to see at least some reporter covering it. From the AP article it sounds like she is camped outside Bush's ranch.

Too hard for the media to cover the story with any sort of impartial detail.

Germany and France seemed to enjoy their "share" of Saddam's oil (money). Perhaps that should shed some light as to why they opposed our military response to his repeated violations of UN resolutions that resulted from the 1991 Gulf War.

We wouldn't be leaving them in the arms of a military thug. There's clearly the makings of a government there. We can provide them with all the guns and ammo they could possibly need to hold off a threat from another military thug. That doesn't require any personnel, just equipment. We can even send groups of Iraqis to Europe for training, if you like.

Either you are ignorant...or just plain stoopid...I'm not sure...I haven't looked at your posts from other threads...I ask you again...why did 20% of the population control the other 80% of the population?...it wasn't just because of Saddam...he just happened to be the guy in charge...

I've noticed that - but I am no "reporter" - I just have an Internet connection and can look things up for myself. The MSM would rather bash Bush than tell the truth.
