Do you want the event to get media attention or not? Or do you only want it covered by conservative reporters, who are going to be preaching to the choir anyway? I totally agree with cakid on this one -- you people are like the old lady who loves to see her grandkids, but treats them like they were bad children and then wonders why they never come to visit.

As for switching screen names, chances are he does that for his own protection RE his employment -- any enemies he has in his industry would LOVE to be able to prove that he's engaged in posting on a conservative forum. If I were in his shoes, I'd do the same thing. And so would you, if you were smart.

Press passes don't mean a damned thing -- just because somebody has one, doesn't mean he's a journalist, and just because someone doesn't, doesn't mean he isn't.

Your entire post is based on the premise that he is actually a reporter. We have no way to know that.

If he's a reporter and a longtime Freeper he would know who owns the place and who handles press details.That is what FReepmail is for.

Hey, I think you just proved yourself to be a true "reporter"... instead of researching this for yourself and trying to find out some actual facts, you just asked some anonymous screen names on an internet discussion board to give you an answer.

That's exactly how the majority of reporters seem to work these days... no facts, no substance, just opinions and "analysis".

The only thing that makes you different is that you asked at FR instead of at DU like the rest of the MSM reporters.

Some people get jerked around, others don't.

Why don't you focus all this energy on getting him his answer, rather than scolding others for not helping him? If it's so bloody important to you that he get his help, then by all means, help him. Lead by example.

As for me, I (a) don't have the information he wants and (b) don't believe he's really a reporter and (c) think he would know where on FR to get this info if he had really been around as long as he claims.
