An apology is absolutely irrelevant.
Does a short stature really detract that much further from his character? What if Rudolph were 6'6" and 300 lbs? Would he be even more of a coward for running away?
Nitpicky, I know. But stereotypes on height are one of the last areas into which PC has made any inroads, if any, and can go easily overlooked. And I'm bored.
If death was needed to accentuate a revulsion over abortion, Rudolph was wrong because he took other lives to get his point across...a better way would have been to set himself on fire in front of the abortion mill (a la Vietnamese monks)... it would have been much more effective.
Just for the sake of being provocative, I submit that if Rudolph had been a "pro-choice" activist, and had been bombing the offices and homes of pro-life/anti-abortion leaders, that he would be hailed as a hero by the abortion industry, the media coverage would be mostly sympathetic if not outright supportive, he would have millions of dollars sent in for his legal defense, there would be a movie-of-the-week deal, Larry King would be visiting him in prison, and he would be admired by much of the Hollyweird crowd.
If his motivation was to avenge or protect what he perceived as "the innocent", he wouldn't have targeted innocent people at the Olympics.
Apology accepted.
Now get the rope.
