Crawford Texas: Secret Service Refuses Anti-War Letter
To Bush; Takes Pro-War Items

Mimi Evans, spokeswoman for 'Military Families Speak Out'(mfso.org) in Crawford, Texas is reporting that the Secret Service refused their anti-war letter addressed to President Bush but they did take items from the pro-war people there.
NBC News was in Camp Casey this morning but they left today leaving no mainstream media present.
Camp Casey is now comprised of two camps -- one 3 miles away from the Bush Ranch and the other camp is a mile away.
There are about 100 people there now.
Country rock singer Steve Earle performed there this morning with 60's folk singer Joan Baez scheduled to perform tonight.
Author, Liz Carpenter, who served under three President's is expected to arrive in Crawford soon to support the anti-war activists.
No one important. She's a dried up prune left over from the hippie days. . .another one who never grew up and is trying to 'resurrect' her glory days.
Well, there goes their comeback. Simon, you knucklehead you.
Oh my.....I wasn't impressed with Joanie in the 60's and I'm even more unimpressed today. Looks like she's been rode hard and put up wet.....like Shillary!
That's six minutes, forty seconds of my life that I'll never get back. Thanks.
I was scanning vewy, vewy carefooey for a vat of kool aid.
Joan Baez is on MSNBC right now
Seems she is still at Camp nut case
LOL -- where have all the flowers gone?
From the looks of things.....they dried up!
Long time passin'.

Hey, is that a Metamucil ad for the ages, or what? < grin >
MY eyes....MY eyes....Aaaggggrtrrhhh....
The Crawford Peace House is shown in Crawford, Texas, Monday, Aug. 22, 2005. With only $3 in the bank, things looked pretty grim for the Crawford Peace House two weeks ago. The telephone had been cut off for nonpayment. The co-founders used their own money for the mortgage payment and electric bill. Then Cindy Sheehan arrived. The grieving California mother's quest for a meeting with President Bush inspired more than $150,000 in donations to the Crawford Peace House since Sheehan started a makeshift campsite Aug. 6 along the road to Bush's ranch. Not only are the phones back on, but the group plans to pay off its mortgage. (AP Photo/LM Otero) Email Photo Print Photo
Boots that belonged to Army Spc. Casey Sheehan, son of activist Cindy Sheehan, are seen at a news conference at the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) offices in Philadelphia Monday Aug. 22, 2005. Casey Sheehan was killed in Iraq in 2004. The boots, which were a pair Casey Sheehan had in Iraq, are being returned to Cindy Sheehan after being part of the 'Eyes Wide Open' national travelling anti-war exhibit created by the AFSC, a branch of the pacifist Quaker church. Camp Casey has become the name of Cindy Sheehan's camp of hopeless, ignorant, unemployed, down in the mouth and aged hippies who are protesting the WOT in Crawford. Her late son's name was Casey and he died in Mosul in an ambush.
She's now trying to say he lost his life for a stupid cause, yet he was the age of majority and had just re-enlisted for a second tour of duty in Iraq.
So the pinko flower children who are down there (standing in a ditch) protesting and probably enjoying some fine dope while they sing old '60's folk songs about the "evil war" and that Super Evil George Bush.
You know.... same song, 5,000th verse.
We're going in to shake up the landscape a little. Imagine nice people who have jobs and families and (horror) go to church, rolling into Crawford to celebrate our freedoms - won on battlefields by mighty warriors - just like Casey Sheehan. To us he's a hero. To her he was just another ignorant child who was dupped by that evil Bush and rich oil cartels.
Ben Stein (Steyn?) made a marvelous observation: "Why is it the left thinks it's fine for a 14 yr old to get an abortion without the parents' consent, but they're trying to convince everyone that their 22 yr olds are too stupid to fight a war without their permission??"
Liberals.........go figure.
Thanks for the summary.
I'm glad to be out of range of all of this.
I couldn't stomach Joan Baez even the first time round.
