MOTHERS IN ARMS

Cindy Sheehan is not the only mother to lose a son in Iraq. Three local moms share her pain. But they draw the line on her politics.

While Sheehan's extended camp-out in Crawford, Texas, continues to fuel pundits' praise and scorn, the three Louisiana mothers largely have ignored the squawking talk-show hosts and 24-hour updatesfrom Camp Casey, as Sheehan's encampment has become known.

Without exception, they never stray far in their comments about the war from the fact that their sons believed in their missions and understood the risks.

Good for them for stating their opinions! Of course they won't get the giant spotlight like Ms. Sheehan has shining on her......

Even more shocking is her embracing COde Pink. THe very group who gave money to the murderers who killed her son. Disguisted and amazed here.

Yes, I knew about that some time ago. She is with the terrorist and needs to be investigated, screw what the media would write about it. Bush needs to put an end to her self serving circus. All it does is give our enemies more strenght to hurt our troops.

I believe some military will show up. They aren't allowed to do so in their uniforms however, against military regulations.

I know how you feel about wanting to do more. Your supporting our troops is a great thing. They need to know we support them in the face of such hatred against them by the left.

Yes, I know this first hand. My husband is an AF officer and hears from his troops. Many are very upset with whats's going on. They mostly blame the media and many refuse to watch or read the news. We have made them aware of the great support on FreeReublic.

Thank you for that. We love and support them here.

If you know of anyone, send them to the Canteen thread on FR. I think they would appreciate the support, honor and tribute they get from that thread.

We did the same thing to Clinton. Night and day. The only difference being that our cause was more honorable

If the lefties have a "Food Not Bombs" rally in Crawford, counter it with a "Meat, Not Tyranny" rally and have a grillout and donation drive for the troops.

The amazing thing about this story is it was above the fold on the front page of the Sunday Times Picayune [with pictures of the mothers in the paper that are not at nola.com]. Was not buried in the Metro section.

The last I saw of the SS, they were watching W and Lance ride their bikes. I hate to say it, but the President's lack of PR savvy since his re-election has me worried. This whole 5-week vacation in Crawford while all hell is breaking loose in Iraq looks bad. One thing you could say about Clintoon, he always looked like he was busy even when he was just diddling Monica.
