Gregoty is bringing up the Strom Thurmond remarks. Now Lott is saying what he should have said all along...that he was just trying to say something nice about an old man. Then he blows it by saying he shouldn't have said and and apologizes again.

Senator Allen said that very, very early on in the Sheehan mess. He just told Stefanopolus that the President is right not to meet with her because circumstances are different. It might be a minor point, but George Allen has said or done nothing to mitigate my support for him. At this early stage he's the best of the bunch IMO.

Adult parents can pass on their advice but ultimately when one is an adult you have a right to make decisions whether they are what your parents want or believe or whether they are right or wrong ones.
Anyone who says otherwise IMHO is a control freak

Gregoty is bringing up the Strom Thurmond remarks.Lott should have dismissed the subject altogether. There are plenty of current events to discuss, rather than dredging up this old story.

I have absolutely no respect for Lott. The media was completely unfair to him regarding his remark that cost him the Majority Leader role, but I was also very glad to see him go.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but David Gregory is better than Timmy. He let's the person answer the question. I agree 100%. Now if only he does the same with Scott McClellan.

Oh I agree Mr Allen is the best prospect we have for 08 at this point.
Im just surprised that he made that comment. He has been so careful during his career not to put his foot in his mouth.

At least when Biden is on...we know where he is.
Also, it usually helps our cause.

David Gregory is an idiot. Asks is it important to tell the Iraqi people that we are not there forever. I believe we have done so. Ah but the MSM like to pretend that is the President strategy to run Iraq with snide references to oil etc rather than report what has actually been said that we are there until they no longer want or need us.

George Allen SAID THAT? Yes, on Imus & CNN. I thought of him highly too, as he once was a governor and that might help him. Now looking for someone else to beat Hillary.

I was surprised that Allen had said the President should sit down with Sheehan at all too, but it was very early on and it seemed to me he didn't have all the facts and the question was a setup. Just MHO.
