We really should send in some units to participate as the opponents in their exercises. We could learn something useful about Chinese tactics, and we could probably show both countries how out classed they are in land warfare.
Read Taiwan, IMO (not that this is any surprise).
Sino-Soviet military cooperation...another legacy of the Clinton regime.
Are you serious?
Maybe we should send in a couple of those special bombs.
This is just a little drum-beating and saber-rattling to let some expansionist entities keep in mind that outside force does exist that could thwart those plans. More than anything, the exercise is directed at competing factions in the Middle East and possible insurrections that threaten to erupt there.
China will not brook interference with the flow of oil to their country, as they have a growing demand for energy, and sending a land assault to secure an assured flow is well within their scope. They have the manpower, they have the incentive, and in large part, they have the logistics to support such an adventure. And they have wasted precious little love on Muslims.
"And they have wasted precious little love on Muslims"
Nor on the 50 million of their own they slaughtered. That murderous culture has to go.
But they are planning and building to be able to extend it to the 2nd chain in as near a future as they can.
THx. Mr. Head, I've haven't seen them yet.
Are these the new "Failsafe" Subs that do not fully submerse so as to avoid the past problems?
You are welcome.
Their dilemma is whether they ally with the West or become a slave bride for China.
Type 093s nukes and the Kilos, the Juan and the Song class
which are modern diesel/electrics, can all be a significant problem for our forces.
Although our vessels are much more capable and pwerful, we cannot underestimate the enemy.
We are not accepting rationality today, but thank you for your participation.
How long has it been since Clinton was president? Blaming everything on him is keeping your head in the sand. We've a different president NOW, and have for five years.
Re; Clinton's legacy:
You are aware of the timeline under which this Sino-Soviet cooperation has developed...aren't you? Or do you just live in the here and now and assume these guys shook hands and planned this show in the past 5 years alone?
Check it out for yourself. I did.
Summoning Clinton is a weak argument.
I'm fully aware of the historic long-term viewpoint of the Chinese, and also of Clinton's traitorous acts while he was supposedly in control of the White House.
However, the inaction and facilitations of the PRC by the present administration cannot be hidden by the diversion of "Look at Clinton! Look at Clinton! He did it! It's ALL his fault!"
Refusing to check out the timeline that led to this ongoing Sino-Soviet exercise reveals intellectual laziness on your part.
My point about this strengthened cooperation having its roots in Clinton's Presidency, is supportable by fact.
It would be easy to share my research and lay this out for you, but again I challenge you to do your own homework and then get back to me on "weak arguments".
Hint- start in 1992.
Hmm...perhaps I wasn't clear.
I'm well aware that the first bi-lateral aggreements between these two countries pre-date Clinton, and began with the old Soviet Union. Their principle raison d'etre today is to maintain military sales to Russian defense companies, which seems to be their only thriving industry, next to mail-order brides.
My point is, again, that the present administration has been in the saddle for five years, and their only action to counter this growing threat is to publically pout and privately make certain the suits who finance their election campaigns continue to profit from Chinese slave labor.
