Hmm...perhaps I wasn't clear.
I'm well aware that the first bi-lateral aggreements between these two countries pre-date Clinton, and began with the old Soviet Union. Their principle raison d'etre today is to maintain military sales to Russian defense companies, which seems to be their only thriving industry, next to mail-order brides.
My point is, again, that the present administration has been in the saddle for five years, and their only action to counter this growing threat is to publically pout and privately make certain the suits who finance their election campaigns continue to profit from Chinese slave labor.
Not an objective nor accurate statement. I have seen no pouting and your assumption that all Bush financial supporters profit from trade with China any more than all of us do is also suspect.
Just like the Enron case, the Democrats and media tried to hang that around Bush's neck and it was shown that Clinton and the Democrats were much more involved with Enron than Bush or the Republicans.
All the nut cases who think this is all about oil and Halliburton should be wise and buy oil company and Halliburton stock and profit right along with the scoundrels.
