My sister had a minor stroke (called a TIA) -- she is a nurse and is back at work full time, with adjustments to medication and diet, and a big scare to remind her to take all symptoms seriously.
Prayers for a quick recovery and more attention to all warning signs for Mr. Harry Reid.
A stroke can also be caused by a bleed through into the brain from someone who is taking blood thinners (coumadin).
My husband had a stroke caused by a bleed through.

Dirty Harry is a schmuck, but I hope that he gets well soon. He'd better start taking better care of himself after this, because NO stroke is a "minor" one. It could be a wakeup call for him to change his lifestyle etc. Get well soon, Senator Schmuck....errrr...Senator Reid.

I am afraid that there are just some of us that have a terminal case of "compassion"...
I know that we can get on threads and flame people like everyone else (see Cindy Sheehan)...but unfortunately (some think)...when it comes to someones health or life...
Some of us don't want to game to play on THOSE terms...
Of course everyone on FR is entitled to their opinions, AND their feelings towards certain people..
I dislike Harry Reid INTENSELY for how he acts...but I don't wish pain, or death on the man.
Remember when President Ford had his stroke? It was at one of the conventions. His speech was slurred and he sounded drunk. I knew right away the next report was that he had a TIA.
