Migrants awarded vigilante's Ariz. ranch

DOUGLAS - Spent shells litter the ground at what is left of the firing range, and camouflage outfits still hang in a storeroom. Just a few months ago, this ranch was known as Camp Thunderbird, the headquarters of a paramilitary group that vowed to use force to keep illegal immigrants from sneaking across the border from Mexico.
Now the 70-acre property about two miles from the border is being given to two immigrants the group caught trying to enter the United States illegally.
The land transfer satisfies judgments in a lawsuit in which the immigrants had claimed that Casey Nethercott, the owner of the ranch and a former leader of the vigilante group Ranch Rescue, had harmed them. advertisement

Should have sold the land, why would ILLEGALS be entitled to us property? What to keep others from doing the same. Get rich quick . Tent City coming soon.

You got to be crazy. Since when do we allow illegal immigrants availability of our courts. Civil war to follow.

Please don't allow the thread to degenerate into a catfight, which will result in it being pulled.
This is the goal of the Open Borders Lobby, let's not hand them another victory.
Keep it civil, remember, every reply means about 15 lurkers will read the attached article.
U.S. Constitution Article 4 Section 4:"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government,
and shall protect each of them against Invasion;"
Invasion: \In*va"sion\, n. [L. invasio: cf. F. invasion. See Invade.] [1913 Webster]
1. The act of invading; the act of encroaching upon the rights or possessions of another; encroachment; trespass.

I don't know which is more frustrating, the story or the multiple threads. One last night and three today.

Since Arizona is one of those states that prohibits use of eminent domain for private purposes (as in the infamous SCOTUS decision this year), an alternative strategy emerges: convene a jury of sympathetic droolers, then use the lax civil code to hand over taxpayers' property to criminals without the need for compensation.
Wait till Wal-Mart starts using this technique in "non-Kelo" states! Just look for some normally-trivial code violation, such as letting your weeds grow while on vacation, and you can seize houses for free.

The poster did the CORRECT thing - there is NO MATCH for "MIGRANT" as in the tile of the article except for much older articles including the original when the suit was started.
Before the Poster Police jump over "reposts" I think that possibly THEY need to do a search?
emabrrassed? I would be.
the best way to search is not by complete title .
Just take the subject alone (one word) and search - sort by date
To: hombre_sincero
The link doesn't even take you to the story, there is no story posted on the NYTimes page with that title, just the story with the original title...

I am glad this was duplicate-posted.
Otherwise I would not know about this OUTRAGEOUS decision.
grrrrrrrrrrr
To: Man50D
Thank you for posting this. I am sitting here in shock. The extreme left-wing slant to the story nearly made me puke.
The scary part is, decisions like this play right into the hands of the real racists and "right wing nutjobs."
If I'm this upset, this could push not-so-stable folks right over the edge into violence.
There was hope for national unity after 9/11- now that hope is fading fast. Can the country survive a civil war and a race war at the same time?

Thanks for posting this . I would have missed this significant decision if I had to search for something I never thought could have happened.

Did you see this little gem from the last thread? Where is your citation for this claim, Bayourod? Or is this another one of your long list of lies?

"Perhaps you meant to say "illegal aliens?"
Yeah, sure, of course he did. They always do don't you know? They follow the Buchanan/Tancredo rule that as long as you insert the word "illegal" people cannot call you a racist.
Tancredo opposes the Denver library having books in Spanish because it might encourage "illegal" Hispanics to use the library.

LOL!
Just when you think it can't get any dumber.

Frankly, I have a lot more respect for honest members of the Open Borde Lobby, who stand behind their true banner, and don't fly under false colors.
