Great, let's start witg the gas tax
Hey, let's have the Dems bring back Jimmah Carter as an example of how to deal with an energy crisis.
Maybe the fact that we only have 149 refineries and that LIBERAL environmental groups have stifled any new refineries being built. The last refinery was built in 1976. Thanks libs.
My son's idiot US History teacher was saying the same thing to his class yesterday, must be a talking point they sent out to the NEA.
Prais the Lord that we went to war for oil.... if gas prices were any higher we'd be in a real bind.
< /myopia>
Yet again, bad news for the US = good news for the Democrats.
AFFIRMATIVE ACTION GASOLINE SALE!!!!
What is the current gas tax?
GREAT!!! ... BRING IT ON
Lets start with drilling in ANWAR
Then we can move to dropping all THE GAS TAXES
Oh oh ... and then we can start build more refineries
GO DEMS GO!!
Roughly 40-50 cents a gallon are taxes in most states...
Want to talk about lowering gas taxes, have states and fed start repealing some of those.
The only people blaming Bush are the Blame-Bush-First club. I've heard plenty of bitching around town, and lots of bitching when I am at the gas station, but not directed at the President. I am sure it has helped drive his approval rating down, but that's a typical result of negative things like this that affect people.
Drilling in Kalifornia?... NO WAY... Drilling in Alaska?... NO WAY... Drilling offshore in Mississippi?... NO WAY... the dim-O-Rats say! Hey screamin' dean... it is your party's fault dude!!! 100% dim-O-Rat caused!!!
LLS
Tell your son to ask his teacher which groups of lobbyists and congresscritters have been opposing Alaskan oil drilling.
Do the Dems have a plan to bring down gas prices or is the plan the usual...just blame Bush? Maybe they want to put in price controls? Regulate profit levels for public companies? Or maybe it is a secret plan they will only reveal if elected.
Bush gets free gas, not a problem.
In New Jersey, I think McGreedy raised it to about 13 cents
