Two Illegal Immigrants Win Arizona Ranch in Court Fight

ANDREW POLLACK
Published: August 19, 2005

DOUGLAS, Ariz., Aug. 18 - Spent shells litter the ground at what is left of the firing range, and camouflage outfits still hang in a storeroom. Just a few months ago, this ranch was known as Camp Thunderbird, the headquarters of a paramilitary group that promised to use force to keep illegal immigrants from sneaking across the border with Mexico.

David Bowser for The New York Times

The New York Times

Now, in a turnabout, the 70-acre property about two miles from the border is being given to two immigrants whom the group caught trying to enter the United States illegally.

This is why the answer for illegals is the same as for endangered species. SSS

Since when do our courts have the right to give land held by citizens over to forgien nationals?

They don't, it is against the constitution. But then, so are the courts. America is not what it was 50 years ago. Now it is rapidly becoming a fascist state with "supreme court mullah's in black robes dictating the laws of the land.

Once it was a republic where votes counted. Now when the Mullahs do not like what the people vote for they just rule it illegal.

Yeah. The courts are allowed to give it to them it seems. Kinda fuzzy after that.

At this point I will have no problem voting for Democrats (including Hillary) until the current strain of Republicans in power are gone. Maybe that will finally send the establishment a message that they need to govern as conservatives and not just campaign like them.

Republicans have been in control of the House since 1994, the congress since 1998 and both the legislative and executive branches since 2000. What has that gotten us?

Instead of dealing with true travesties, all Bush cares about is buying votes. He is still doing it even though he can't even run again.

Excuse me Mr President but what is your opinion about all of this?

He is too busy signing spending bills and trying to get religion taught in schools.

This is what happens when you don't defend yourself in court.

I think when GW was a kid he probably used to ask for advances on his allowance.

Suspicious how now there is all this light on the subject, the rhetoric gets so ramped up. It appears some want these threads to APPEAR full of racists.

He hit her and gave her a busted jaw

Fascinating. So, uh, this guy should have a felony assault and domestic violence rap on him, which would basically mean an end to his admission to the Bar for a while, at least.

The incident he sued Nethercott over was alleged to be less violent than the violence Mr. Dees visited on his own extra-marital girlfriend.

Rather unbelievable that the guy still pulls off his gig. Guess he can hire good attorneys with all that cash flowing in from the gullible.

Maybe that same Texas judge will give his ranch to Cindy Sheehan.

It just shows she is folding under pressure on this border issue. She has made her true intentions very clear.

Oh and that ranch? You can bet the farm the SPLC will get most of the proceeds from it's sale. The two Illegals the represented are of no more use to them.

Just think. This land is now going be one of the main border crossings for illegals. This is just sick.

Dees is now Chief Trial Counsel for the Southern Poverty Law Center and, in addition to suing violent white supremacist groups,

Which he defines as two or more white folks with guns.

I Think some of our elitist friends on the left seem to think that they can rule from the bench.

It's not just what they think, it's what they are doing.

Gun control is not as much about guns as about control. They aim to rule us, whether we like it or not.

One must wonder how much of the sale of the ranch will go to Dees? At least 1/3 probably 1/2 and maybe as much as 2/3. So his SPLC is or soon will be 40 to 80 thousand dollars richer. The illegals will get to split the rest, meaning at best they'll each get the same amount the slime ball does, and at worst they'll get 1/2 as much each as he does. Of course their big prize is that legal status for testifying against the Ranch Rescue people.

The worst of it is that the award is based on the alleged "act", the pistol whipping, for which he and the others were NOT convicted of. That's something, among lots of other things, that we need to fix in our court system.

Be real ironic if Strassmeir turned out to be Dees' spy/agent provocateur in the Elohim City group, wouldn't it? Dees was probably hip deep in the Waco affair as well, in his capacity as unofficial (and likely illegal) "adviser" to the FBI on "militia" and "white supremest" groups. (No matter that the Branch Davidians were quite ethnically diverse, they had guns!).
