BAGHDAD, Iraq (Army News Service Aug. 18, 2005) -- Terrorists carried out multiple suicide vehicle-borne improvised explosive device attacks Aug. 17 in Baghdad.
A total of 28 Iraqi civilians and four Iraqi Police were killed and 68 civilians were wounded in the terrorist attacks, said Col. Joseph DiSalvo, commander of 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division.
The first part of the attack involved a car bomb which detonated in a main bus terminal in downtown Baghdad at 7:50 a.m. Ten minutes later, as Iraqi Police arrived at the scene, a suicide bomber detonated his vehicle outside the terminal, which is a main transit station for Iraqis heading north and south.
Casualties from both attacks were taken to al-Kindi hospital, where, at 8:45 a.m., a third VBIED was detonated.
“This particular incident, where terrorists deliberately target civilians, emergency responders and hospitals, defines crimes against humanity -- period. The Iraqi people have seen once again that the terrorists have no regard for human life,” said Col. Joseph DiSalvo, commander of 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division. “These heinous attacks will only strengthen the resolve of the Iraqi people and Iraqi Security Forces in their fight against the terrorists.”
The incidents are under investigation.

I'm sorry you misunderstood me. I am not critisizing the heroes of this war, but the ones in Washington who put so many restraints on them that they haven't been able to fully do the kind of job killing these monsters that they would if allowed to! I apologise if it seemed if I was running down our military. I am a Military Mom--I would NEVER do that!
I agree with you that our service members are doing the best they can. Still wouldnt mind seeing some terrorist supporting towns rembling Dresden after the bombing.

One would think the civilize Arabs of the world that live in civilized countries would be calling this scum lower then pigs at this point. The silence is defening. So many of them really seem to condone this stuff in their hearts. It is the way of the rock. Murder is acceptable to them, even though they lie out of their teeth that it is not the practice of Islam to allow for such things.
