It sounds as though the Saudi police are getting better at winning shootouts. Fortunately for them, they are not under the same constraints that our own police are under.

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — As Interior Ministry officials announced the discovery of a suspected terrorist hideout containing large quantities of chemicals used to make explosives, a warning was issued for Americans in Saudi Arabia that a series of terrorist attacks may be in the pipeline, a spokesman at the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh (search) told FOX News on Wednesday.

The information originated from the American National Counter-Terrorism Center (search), the new hub for threat information in the United States.

"We urge people to be attentive," said State Department Deputy Spokesman Adam Ereli, who complimented the "closeness and aggressiveness" of the combined U.S.-Saudi efforts to go after militants in the kingdom.

Al Qaeda's leader in Saudi Arabia was killed Thursday during clashes with police in the western city of Medina

I say George Bush should subcontract out the job of border protection to the Saudi police.

...

Better yet, I say Bush should relinquish his duties as Commander in Chief and put the Saudis in charge.

PROTECT OUR SOVEREIGNTY, George Bush! Why must you be forced to do that?

I was talking with a Bangladeshi yesterday and he wasn't too flattering of the Saudis. Basically said before oil they were the thieves that would rob pilgrims headed to Mecca. Now that they have the money and power he says they are crapping on the Koran when they take on bunches of wives and have 110 offspring like the "king" that recently died, Fayd? I suspect this is what the radicals hate as well, the godless ways of the Saudi royal family.

I got an earful of the curious orwellian doublespeak from the guy too as we discussed the ideology of Islam. He tries and tries to explain how their society puts woman on the highest pedestal, but I say that's just a bunch of propaganda BS for their women to swallow in order to justify the male dominance.

He did teach me a lot of interesting cultural things about Bangladesh and why the fought to remove the Pakistanis from their land. Imposition of strict Islamic law and adoption of the Pakistani national dialect was the main reason. The 200 bombs fired off earlier this week in Bangladesh wasn't meant as anything other than a warning by the Mullahs and their followers who are being pushed into Pakistan by the surrounding states who are pushig the radicals out. The "bombs", really just firecrackers, were a collective shot across the bow, warning the population of what they could do with real bombs if the government doesn't become 100% Islamic. Currently it's secular. This is how the Islamists take over.

The family structure over there is very unique. The wife is the Ma, her oldest brother the Mama and his wife Mami (Mommie). Good stuff.

pushed into Pakistan should read pushed into Bangladesh. Bangladesh is apparently a beautiful bountiful place that has a population (the second largest population of muslims on earth) who practice a gentler brand of Islam, more of a hybrid of the ancient Hindu ways and Islam. But they are all about that book being number one because, as they so eloquently preach, it's a three volume set, containing the Torah and Bible in addition to their chapter.

Get this, the Saudis are acting as the vatican would in the 17th or 18th century, on a mission to spread the word and world of Islam. They are paying big money to local Mullahs in places like Bangladesh to secure their allegiance to the cultural center, the head of the "church" in Mecca and the rest of their holy land. These local Mullahs dress like the Saudis with the head hood and all that (like Bin laden). This guy I talked to says he fights with the Mullahs to get them to stop kissing up to the Saudis. He says that dress style has no place in Bangladesh, it is for harsh, windy and sandy condtions. The Bangladeshis are like Anglican England unwilling without something of a fight to knuckle under to their version of the Catholic Church, the Saudi Wahhabists.
