That's some chutzpah for a newbie.
I question the motives of people on this board who are so extremely right-wing in their opinions on this that they're more extreme than the majority of Israeli citizens, whom this directly affects.
I'm sure Pat Buchanan agrees with you. But that is not a compliment.
Anti-Semitic complaints to the Admin Moderator?
Troll Alert?
What a crock of speciousness. Post in threads where you're able to keep your biases and emotions under control.
Every single post in this thread has been well-stated and properly presented. Smelling something like the stench of anti-Semitism (or anything, actually) when it's just not there, is a sign of Alzheimer's or other mental disorder. It is way off base to even suggest anything written in this thread is anti-Semitic, and it is worse than foolish to have done so.
Proceed with respect, please.
A little update on the situation at the Neve Dekalim synagogue, since I'm on vacation and am watching it live on Fox.
Troops and police are dragging protesters one by one from inside the temple.
Protesters on the rooftop taunting police and soldiers with paint balls.
Police using water cannon to prepare the way for shipping containers to be placed on rooftop by cranes to remove protesters in the containers.
Jen Griffin understands that most of the protesters are not actual settlers, but people from Israel proper showing support.
At least one soldier is a casualty. Probably heat exhaustion.
Prayer time.
Protesters, soldiers and border police praying together. Soldiers and police taking pause from the haggle to follow their practice.
Saying after all is over, Israel will again be one nation.
Some settlers setting their homes on fire and walking to buses on own, waving goodbye.
Shipping containers contain SWAT teams. Not to be used to remove protesters.
The majority of Israel wants out of the Gaza. This is all part of the path to peace. Most Israelis want the Palestinians to have their own state. It is very sad to watch all of this today. Everyone hopes this is the path to peace. Nobody NOBODY knows if it will work. It is a start though. Those who believe most Israelis don't want this are ignorant of the hard facts on the ground.
Ahh I guess it's more of a 50/50 split.
The next battle will be over Jerusalem. And the ironic thing is, all these "territories" would be safe if Israel had evicted the moslems from the Temple Mount and returned it to Jewish control in '67. Har HaBayit is the heart of 'Eretz Yisra'el, and heart disease needs to be treated at the heart, not the extremities.

Quote "Why would any nation want to posses land populated by over 5.3 million homicidal maniacs who want to murder them?"
Ummm yeah right. Most of these people just want PEACE for their families. Having just returned from Israel I can tell you that most people do not want war. Most people on both sides want peace. These people are not all terrorists. Most are nothing of the sort. They have families and want nothing but PEACE.
It does no good for people to spew hate speech about one group or another. People who call ALL of these people homicidal are ignorant of what is really going on. They are spouting off about something they no nothing about. They are simply attacking the easy targets.
Israelis and Palestinians are HUMANS and want PEACE. The MAJORITY on both sides. It is a small fraction on both sides that causes the problems.
Interesting. CNN is not covering the Gaza removal.
MSNBC and FoxNews are.
What did you expect from CNN?
Jen Griffin arguing heatedly with border police, who's not letting her inside the temple. Says she has permission from the IDF.
Most of 1,500 protesters cleared out. Most holdouts on the roof and in a back room.
Soldiers and police not armed.
FOX NEWS: "The majority of Israelis polled said they wanted a pullout from the Gaza"
That's what I'm afraid of. This pullout from Gaza won't garner ANY good will for Israel. For instance, the U.N. will simply think of it as an act that was decades overdue. The World Court will still act as if Israel were a pariah state. Neither think the Palestinians bear blame for any of the acts of terrorism that take place.
The Palestinians have been given a free ride for close to 60 years. That will continue, while Israel remains the ant under a spyglass.
If CNN covered it, they'd have to acknowledge Israel does a lot in the persuit of peace, and the Palestinians do nothing.
Can anyone name one thing the Palestinians have given up in the interest of peace?
Agreed with the rest of your post. But just to be clear, the above quote wasn't mine.
