SAGINAW, Mich. - Three children's zoo animals are dead and nine others injured after a pair of pit bulls burrowed under a fence and attacked goats, sheep, cattle and roosters.
Two goats and a rooster were killed in the petting area of the Children's Zoo at Celebration Square. The dogs sneaked into the zoo sometime before 6:30 a.m. Monday.

Landsharks strike again
I'm glad this didn't happen with children present. The headline could have been a LOT worse!
Now - who is responsible????
Ping
But pitbulls are such peaceful pets..../sarcasm
.....on the border.
A helluva deterrent.
Given all the vicious creatures in MI worth attacking too bad
they go after innocent 4 legged critters.....
It's ... ahhh ... It's the way they were raised. Owner's fault. No reflection on the breed. That's the ticket.
It is time for breed profiling.
"Now - who is responsible????"
The owners. Hope they find them.
But, Your Honor, they always were so good around my kids. They just played and played together.
If the idiot who owns these dogs show up to claim the survivor, I hope the unnamed zoo employee gives him a third eye.
The Baha Men.
Its too bad they didnt get into the wolf enclosure!!!
While it's not suprizing that a couple of pit bulls would do this, it's alarming that these dogs are a;lowed by their owners to be at large.
Thank goodness this wasn't a group of kids smoking dope in a back alley.
Now there's a good use for these inbed cross bred killers!
They don't belong in the care of irresponsible owners though.
I am not a supporter of pit bulls, however, I do not trust the media in identifying dogs anymore than I do when they identify assault rifles. Any shoulder weapon is touted as an assault rifle and all dogs are pit bulls, I would like to see pictures of these dogs. I have known some pretty gentle breeds to go on animal killing sprees.
Let the pit bull defendants begin their talking points about how safe these animals are.
I guess it's content with practice for now. One day it will rip your kids face off. Don't get me wrong. I love good, large breeds of dogs, but the pit bull, which is a cross breed, is bred for only one reason, and that's dog fighting. They are agressive, fearless, strong, and unpredictable. I hope you are smart enough to keep them away from your kids, and when your kids are around it, it's muzzled. it only takes the thing 5 seconds to rip your kids face off, disfiguring (or worse) the child for life. Let's not let people's love for one crazy breed of dog, and other peoples mistreatment of good dogs, like Rotties, cause panic and unneeded legislation. If ou are a Pit owner, be reponsible. They can be good dogs, and are... most of the time. But they can do horrible damage when they snap. They are unpredictable.
