WASHINGTON — The State Department warned the Clinton administration in July 1996 that Usama bin Laden's (search) move to Afghanistan would give him more fertile ground to spread radical Islam, according to newly declassified documents.
The documents, released by the legal advocacy group Judicial Watch on Wednesday, say that bin Laden would feel comfortable moving from Sudan to Afghanistan, which "has become an even more desirable location for extremists. Afghanistan may be an ideal haven as long as bin Laden can continue to run his businesses and financial networks."

My opinion is that Willie has had a secret Swiss bank account since the Soviets set it up for him in 1963. Saudi and Iraqi money flowed into that account all through the mid and late 90s.
We need to revisit Foster's trips to Switzerland. He would have traveled under a diplomatic passport in whatever name, and would have been able to make deposits/withdrawals at Willie's whim.

I was happy to see O'Reilly cover this tonight and the CIA man he had on (can't remember his name) was good too. However I was very disappointed with Chris Wallace, who was subbing for Britt Hume (please come back Britt) tonight and there was not one mention of Able Danger on Special Report. To top things off during the panel they were discussing gas prices (and not Able Danger) and Wallace actually suggested we might be headed for a recession. For a moment I thought I had accidentally changed the station to CBS or something.

The Clinton administration moved forward, much of the stupid and ignorant practices of the Carter Administration..
