1. Rice isn't going to be running
2. She would get routed by HRC
3. A true conservative will be the only candidate capable of defeating HRC

Definetly more likely Allen-Rice than Rice-Allen

Sounds great in any order, with Cheney thrown in there too.

Flip it around and it might be better.

How about Allen/Rice? Although I don't think Rice is interested.

How many times must she say she isn't running? She wouldn't even be a decent candidate. Pro-abortion, pro-gay civil unions, and I think pro-gun control despite her recent comments. Why is liberal republican Dick Morris pushing her so hard?

The second Condi formally announces her candidacy I will take a leave of absence from work and pledge to work 16 hours a day 7 days a week to work for her Presidential campaign.

Rice would re-align American politics for 50 years. She would carry on the Bush mantle while eviscerating the Rats.
Contrary to the Rice haters on FR--she is the one person who can defeat HRC.

I want a pun ticket. Brown/Rice Minute/Rice Instant/Rice Jasmine/Rice. We need to groom a politician with a good name to go with hers.

Sounds good to me. Condi Rice, like Bush is in my 80-95% agreement window. Plus I think she is honest and will do what she says she will do. Yeah, I would vote for Condi Rice in a New York minute. Allen? Yeah. McCain? Not in this lifetime.

I've been predicting for almost a year now that George Allen is going to be the GOP nominee in 2008. Nothing that has happened in that time has led me to change my mind. In fact, I think he's solidified his spot at the top of the list of potential contenders.

The thought of a Gingrich-Rice ticket in '08 intrigues me. It certainly stands out in terms of sheer brain power and visionary candidates.

I agree that this could be a winning combo. A recent Iowa poll showed Condi on top for Republicans. If she ran she would have the backing of the Bush and the White House, and paired with a solid Conservative like Allen would help secure the base. Rice on top of the ticket would splat any talk of HRC being the first woman president and make her face issues. It would be a choice between a the liberal Clinton vs a moderate/conservative in Rice instead of a woman vs a man.

I think George Allen is certainly the frontrunner for the GOP nomination right now, but anything can happen in three years. I don't think Condi Rice has any chance, the media will ear her alive with all sorts of innuendo about her being unmarried.

For what its worth, I don't think the 'Rats are going to nominate Hitlery.

To me Rice has everything except that elusive trait they call being "presidential". But I might still be inclined to support her over someone even more viable simply because of her sex. I'm sorry if that borders on affirmative action, but it's about damn time for a woman. And I guess Katherine Harris would do good to finish her Senate term first, but after Condi I say she's up!

And another thing, I'm uninformed regarding Condi's civil status; is she even married? You'd think the President would have to be.
