The most disgusting part about that speech of Clintoon's that day, was the outburst of applause by the press corps. They made it immediately obvious who's side they were on.
B@$tards!

Clinton Denies Sexual Relationship(AP, Jan. 26)
Unfortunately, the version I was able to find (see link above) trucates the raucous applause given by our "fair and unbiased" press.
I have never seen or heard the press break out into applause during a Bush press conference, have you?
The presstitutes exposed themselves there big time.

last night i was taking the MMPI and there was a question there about "sometimes I have such a disliking for someone that I am inwardly pleased when they are catching it for something they did." I put True.

I think you have the two dates/speeches mixed up. Today's anniversary, and the text I posted, was Clinton's "confession" on national network TV after he "admitted" his relationship with
that woman during his testimony to the grand jury. The speech you have linked is the "denial" 8 months earlier.
Both are enough to make me puke.

Ah, the "Peckers" Speech. Fond memories.
"It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is.
If the--if he--if 'is' means is and never has been, that is not--that is one thing. If it means there is none, that was a completely true statement....Now, if someone had asked me on that day, are you having any kind of sexual relations with Ms. Lewinsky, that is, asked me a question in the present tense, I would have said no. And it would have been completely true." BJCLINTON AUGUST 17, 1998 Grand Jury Testimony

I remember reading an explanation of each one of those sentences. It was absolutely fascinating and I think it was from the National Review. I know I printed it out and it's in a folder somewhere. He really wasn't owning anything at that point, it was all blather to "move forward".
