URGENT: D.C. Chapter Support the Troops & OIF Demo at White House 7 p.m. Wed. 8/17/05
D.C. Chapter ^ | Tuesday, August 16, 2005 | Kristinn

Posted on 08/16/2005 5:54:29 PM PDT by kristinn

All Freepers and lurkers in good standing are invited to join the D.C. Chapter of Free Republic as we take a patriotic stand in support of our troops, their commander-in-chief and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) outside the White House tomorrow evening.

We will gather on Pennsylvania Avenue directly in front of the White House as a counter-point to the MoveOn candlelight vigil against OIF.

Please bring American flags and signs bearing messages of support for our troops, President Bush and OIF.

We will be there from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The MoveOn vigil begins at 7:30 p.m.

As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.

If you know any military family members who are fed up with the spectacle in Crawford, please invite them to join us Wednesday night at the White House.

Thank you Mr. Silverback. Love those pictures.

Kristinn, et all:

This is a touchy sign situation. We certainly don't want to insult a misguided and possibly nut bag mother.

Any suggestions for signs would be appreciated.

Is the DC chapter planning a counter protest for the Sept 24 impeach Bush rally sponsored by impeachbush.org in front of the WH?

AGP, Cindy Sheehan is absolutely, positively not misguided, and probably not any more nuts than any other lying lib. That said, you're right to be careful about signage because a lot of the public is still unaware of her lies.

Be wise, and give 'em hell.

Airborne, it is tomorrow, Wednesday. I know you have a motor chair. There is a garage next to the Dauphin County Court House that is wheel chair accessable. Side street parking should also be easy at that hour, 7:30 PM.

Whew! I was worried it would be 7 AM!

I'll be in a manual chair. My arms are still pretty strong! ;^)

Sounds like fun. Count me in!

Sign being made, "Support George W. Bush and the Troops".

I know this group that will be supporting no War. I have been up against them before at the Capitol. Very quiet pacifists. You won't see an American Flag in their group.

I sure hope that DC can get some Freepers there.

But, you and I can take on this group in Harrisburg easily.

See you my Freeper friend.

All signs should be in support of the troops, the president, Iraq policies, etc. We should ignore Cindy.

I think she is a control freak who couldn't handle it when two things occurred that were out of her control: First her son enlisted; Then he re-upped. Ultimately, he died, and having no control over that, she is trying to take back control of her world.

That being said, if I am right, she oughtta start to implode when other groups try to take control of her "camp out". We'll see.
