No, 47 is not old. I am 40 now and in better physical shape than I was in my 20s. Fair enough, I've had some injuries along the way but my conditioning is as good and my physique looks as good as ever. I have more stamina than people half my age and twice the experience. Guys who are in their early twenties regularly ask me for work-out and diet advice. I have a huge appetite for life and much much energy. I don't see that suddenly going away in the next 7 years.
It's all what you make of it. I've seen people who were 35 just completely let themselves go and they look beat up and old. You take care of yourself and apply some sweat and discipline to the situation and you're not old until you're 70 or so. You can say what you want about Madonna but she has kept herself in great shape and she is definitely not old at 47.
My guess, years of starving herself, fad diets leading to early osteoporosis, brittle bones no doubt aided in so many broken bones in this fall.
For a normal person it isn't, but for someone who fancies herself a sex-symbol, it's Methuselah City.
Well, she's never been my cup of tea so I never fancied her as much of a sexy woman personally.
Now Sophia Loren, on the other hand, is a beautiful and sexy woman to this very day at 70 years of age.
