NEW YORK (AP) -- The New York Fire Department yesterday released 12,000 pages of oral histories recorded by firefighters on September 11, and radio transmissions, a vast mine of records that evoked anew the chaos and horror of the attack.
Firefighter Kirk Long, whose Engine 1 was sent to the World Trade Center's north tower -- the first to be struck by a plane and the second to collapse -- described rushing up a stairway as evacuees were coming down.
"I was watching every person coming down, looked at their face, just to make them happy that they were getting out and we were going in, and everything was OK," Mr. Long said in his oral history.
Mr. Long said he heard the north tower shake and thought something in the basement had exploded.
"At that time I never knew that the south tower had gone down," he said.
Some families and other critics of the city's response have been hoping the new documents would help them challenge the conclusion that many firefighters in the north tower heard, but chose to ignore, an evacuation message issued after the south tower collapsed at 9:59 a.m.

At first, I felt this was just the MSM trying to find another way to embarass the President, but it seems to have backfired with the release of the "Able Danger" information.
Reading the transcripts and looking at the photos/films has brought it alll "back home", I hope a lot of fence sitters are now saying:
"Oh yeah! That's why we're in Iraq! That's why we have to wipe out those bastards!" and maybe "Those animals have it WAY too easy in Gitmo!"
I never thought I'd say this, but thanks NYT and NYCLU for getting those transcripts released...they're a 21st Century version of the old "Why We Fight" series from WW2.

You must have been reading my mind, we heard a portion of the firefighters communications on TV in Australia a couple of days ago and not only was that my reaction but you should have seen the newsreader's face - she was so obviously affected by the reality she stammered - this on the most left biased channel; yes, the truth is the most powerful weapon of all.

WA. D.C. and Penn. 9-1-1 service call records,
airline passengers' personal telephone call recording logs,
WTC tower workers' telephone answering machine messages phoned home,
media video of PEOPLE JUMPING in TWOS and THREES FROM WTC TOWERS SO AS NOT TO BURN ALIVE, NOR DIE ALONE {perhaps the single most spiritually profound statement to be found in the midst of that whole bloody, horrific, ISLAM-INFLICTED DAY OF MASS MURDER!}
It should ALL be edited together, uncensored and unexpurgated,and played on all major networks {including 'alla-jizz-era'} during prime time in every time zone across the world every 11 September until people get a clue!

I appreciate your style compliment, thanks.
However, count me as one who will also not listen. Subbasement explosions and other non-jetliner collision based causes for the WTC Towers' collapse do not stand up to reasonable nor educated scrutiny, and are IMO, archetypal "tinfoil hat" material which usually ends up attempting to shift blame for the terror acts onto the US gov't. and/or a "Zionist cabal". I will have none of that, myself.
I am not saying or even suggesting that is where you are coming from, just noting that it is a consistent direction amongst most "alternate conspiracy theory" threads.

Well, to add my voice to yours, it is absolute BS that the towers came down by any other means than two fuel laden jumbo jets crashing into them. And to insinuate that it was anything else makes me very very suspicious about the intent of the person positing this theory.
This info has made the info more harmful to Clintoon Cabal
