Sheehan told a reporter for an Austin, Texas, newspaper that she and her husband, Patrick, have separated but said, "We both are handling our grief differently,' according to the newspaper.
"He agrees with the philosophy behind what I'm doing, that the war was wrong and George Bush lied, but he doesn't understand that I have a passion that I have to do this and this is the only way. If I can shorten the war by one minute and save one life, that would just give me so much comfort in my grief.'
Patrick Sheehan has declined to comment publicly about his wife's efforts. His family, however, issued a terse e-mailed comment on Thursday.

It's been talked about behind the scenes that this was coming down the pike. I wonder how she'll react when the papers are served. Somehow I don't think she'll care. The most important thing in the world to Cindy is Cindy. Not her marriage, not her kids, but Cindy, Cindy, Cindy.

If he and the other three sons are really behind her like she claims then I wonder why he would file the papers now. It he is "supportive" then it is extremely poor timing to have divorce proceedings coincide with the week she is in the media spotlight.
