Goodspeed, Peter. You will not be missed.
Peter who? Is he the guy who ate pumpkins?
I know this will sound crazy but what I remember most about watching Peter Jennings was his eye lids.
Jennings had this long face and a real slow eye blink. He would blink his eyes and the skin of his eye lids would be much lighter in color than the skin of his face. He held an eye blink longer than normal so I could really see the difference. It never failed to remind me of how male baboons would flash their eye lids at rivals as a threatening gesture.
I wonder did anyone else ever notice this?
I'm glad Petah got to see a conservative America during his last few breaths!!!
Mad because there has been such an outpouring of love and affection for the man both while he was ill and after he died? Whatever you think of Peter Jennings personally or his politics, there is no denying that he was loved and respected by millions of Americans.
I just couldn't stand his voice. It's silly, but it was like nails on a chalkboard for me. He was on a panel about four years ago in San Diego with Roger Hedgecock. It was so biased I got up and left. I'm surprised Roger didn't get up and leave. It was at a University and it was like they packed it with Lefties. What am I talking about, THEY DID pack it with lefties. Jennings was so smug. Did you guys also know he was really short? I saw him on the boardwalk in San Diego during the Republican Convention and almost fainted. His legs were disproportionate to his body. Think about it, has anyone actually SEEN his entire body during a report? Hmm? Now that I've spoken illy of the dead, I feel kinda bad.
