I am a weeping mess....
Me too. The courage and the sacrifice. . .and the families are just as strong and courageous.

I think that is the point. I will never forget these guys do this so we can sleep soundly in our beds and go on with our soft little lives.
I owe it to these men to support their families for all I am worth, and I owe it to those still fighting support them in every way we can. And I owe it to the Iraqis to not leave them to the mercy of the enemy because it is uncomfortable for me.
Oh, and Ms. Sheehan can go take a long walk. She is a selfish, narcissistic woman who cares for no one and nothing but her own sadness. She is willing to abandon the Iraqis, other men who are fighting, other families...and her own family and children to bask in the glow of her own grief.
I couldn't be more proud to be American. Because these men are fighting for her too. Amazing.
To: pollyannaish
Ms. Sheehan is a disgrace...and should be shunned.
To: Right_in_Virginia
The sooner the better. But they are still big enough to fight for her right to be a selfish jerk. That is what is amazing.
BTW, I have great respect for Palkot. This is great journalism.

Captain Shantash says "They said they would rather die and go to Allah than surrender to the Americans. So, they're gonna die."
Then an extremely large bomb is dropped on the terrorists.

Greg Palkot deserves an award for this reporting.

Okay, here is my two cents worth. I'm watching this program and weeping for the moms and dads that are receiving news of their sons death. At first with tears in my eyes for their heartache but slowly the anger starts growing in me. Not against G.W. but against Cindy Sheehan. The more I watch this program my anger rises. I have always been a Christian and dislike the word "hate", but my feelings for this ungrateful idiot woman is pushing my feelings real close to hate. I pray for the rest of her family, who must be really ashamed of her by now. This woman doesn't deserve a son like that nor does she deserve the United States of America. I needed to repeat you post because you express EXACTLY what I am experiencing watching this.

The real life equivalent to "Go ahead, make my day." : )

I think Palcot has done a great job. He should get an Emmy for this, but alas, it will not be awarded to him.

I don't like the comercials either.
My son is a Marine and served in Iraq, getting ready to go back.
The comercials seem tacky when it's something like this.
To: Miss Marple
Watching this, I am furious the MSM for diminishing the courage and honor of our brave soldiers.
To: Miss Marple; Right_in_Virginia
How the press can spin Iraq as a loss is beyond me. We won it decisively. We are winning it the whole thing decisively.
You know, I'm pretty sure Palkot didn't do this for an Emmy. Which is why he deserves one even more.
To: Right_in_Virginia
I know how you feel. I have nothing but contempt for the MSM, and for Hollywood, who could have been making movies about men like this, instead of their re-runs of old TV shows.

(That looked like one of the new 'smaller' bombs, 500 pounds, I think)

Oh, I know he did this to cover the men...not for an Emmy. But he sure as heck deserves one.

Keep telling yourself that this is required in order to get this message out where it belongs. It almost makes it tolerable for me, almost... Also, thank you for your service as well as your son's
