The Rolls-Royce Merlin engine was the best thing that ever happened to the Mustang. Power a-plenty at low and high altitude thanks to a two-stage supercharger.

I'm not up on all of the particulars, but I DO know THIS: NOTHING in all of God's green Earth SOUNDS like that, and there's no way to adequately describe the rumble; you've got to HEAR it firsthand to know. It's distinctive, it's deep, it's powerful, it evokes something primal. It'll stop you in your tracks and make your hair stand on end. It's goosebumps with wings.
