All we are saying is give peas a chance
All we are saying is give peas a chance

War! - huh- yeah-
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing
Uh-huh
War! – huh – yeah-
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing
Say it again y’all
War! – huh – good God
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing
Listen to me…

All we are saying is give peas a chance
All we are saying is give peas a chance

Yes, how many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky ?
Yes, how many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry ?
Yes, how many deaths will it take till he knows
That too many people have died ?
The answer my friend is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

All we are saying is give peas a chance
All we are saying is give peas a chance

Where have all the young men gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the young men gone?
Long time ago
Where have all the young men gone?
Gone for soldiers every one
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?

Where have all the soldiers gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the soldiers gone?
Long time ago
Where have all the soldiers gone?
Gone to graveyards every one
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?

All we are saying is give peas a chance
All we are saying is give peas a chance

"DEATH to the Enemies of the New People's Agriculture!"

Darn right! Southern Louisiana should be used for growing rice.

Well, it can be fun to craft ancient firearms. I would like to make a wheellock or a flintlock.

So, she wants a semi-auto shotgun. What, does she want to join a SWAT team? :-)

In any case, here's the latest from Foamy;

"What, does she want to join a SWAT team? "

She probably saw "Any Which Way But Loose."

I love the end of the fight scene between the old lady and the bikers where the old lady is mumbling, "scumbags picking on a defenseless old lady..."

a wheel-lock would be cool - if you are going to make something that is so obsolete, might as well make one that is technically complex and innovative and RARE

I'm not up on all of the particulars, but I DO know THIS: NOTHING in all of God's green Earth SOUNDS like that, and there's no way to adequately describe the rumble; you've got to HEAR it firsthand to know. It's distinctive, it's deep, it's powerful, it evokes something primal. It'll stop you in your tracks and make your hair stand on end. It's goosebumps with wings.

I finally laughed at a Foamy cartoon.

I agree with his view on being single. LOL!

You said it. There is something very evocative about the sound of a Merlin engine. Everything about it is unique. The sound of the starter, the wind-up, the ignition, warm-up, etc. Also, when one makes a low pass, the combination of a faint whistle from the propellor tips and the smooth growl of the engine is ethereal and sublime.

Easy source of flint for such a weapon. Just look around your local parking lot for a squashed and battered butne lighter.

Guaranteed to be empty.

Scavenge the tiny bit of flint in the striker. (The holder may come with it.)
